BUNNY HOP POCKET PAGE | with Tya

Is there a technique or long-forgotten way you used to scrapbook that you've wanted to revisit? Well, that's what I did for my latest assignment! I have always really loved pocket page scrapbooking, but it has been so long since I've scrapped that way! I came up with this really fun pocket page that I whipped up using some of my favorite photos of my kids when they were little, and the adorable Bunny Hop collection.

As you can see, I used a 12x12 page protector that has (12) 3 x4 pockets in it. I have such a love for embellishments and scrapping this way lets me use all the amazing embellishments from this collection. In this photo, I used a fun mix of Doodle Pops, Odds & Ends, and Bits & Pieces.

More embellishment goodies were found in this corner of the layout. I love layering up the Chit Chat pieces with the Bits and Pieces like I did on the cute bunny on the bottom row. Some fun stickers from the Puffy sticker sheet accent the "Happy Hunting" Chit Chat piece perfectly.

In this corner, I was able to use one of the journaling spots on the Springtime Stripe paper and then added a little sparkle to the cute bunnies along the bottom with some Stickles. Looks so sugary and sweet! And I do not mind adding some embellishments outside the pockets like I did here with the flowers, easter basket, and bow. I like texture and these added a little extra something to the pocket pages instead of them being flat and stuck in the pockets. I do use extra heavy tape on these types of embellishments so they stay put!

You can see here that I added a cute handmade mini banner with some twine, pattern papers, and Puffy Stickers on it. Lots of texture and interest with that piece. It's also so fun to layer up all the ephemera in the Odds and Ends to make little scenes like the egg tower, chocolate bunny, and carrot pieces.

I had so much fun creating this layout and I am so excited to do more pocket pages in the future! I forgot how much fun they were! I hope I have inspired you to try an old technique like pocket pages too! And then pick up the adorable "Bunny Hop" collection and make some cute Easter-themed pages! Have the best day friends and we will see you next time! Happy Crafting!

I❤️TRAVEL POCKET PAGE WITH A SPIN | with Shellye

Pocket Letters, Pen Pals and Snail Mail are all the rage!  Today I'm sharing a fun take on a pocket letter that's made from cardstock and patterned papers vs. plastic sleeves.  Let's take a look:
To begin I started with a 12X12 sheet of Maraschino Cardstock and scored as follows:
3.25" and 8.75"; turn paper 90 degrees and repeat.
Next, I cut the 3.25" and 8.75" scored lines down to the adjoining score line below it.
I chose to corner-round the edges and then cover the panels with various patterned papers.
On the largest, center panel I added one of the  5"X5" cards and trimmed the inner flap to make a pocket:
The little card pocket is a nice place to add larger items such as tags, doilies, die-cuts, stickers, etc.
On the left-hand side I created another pocket and tucked in a collection of die-cuts.  On the lower panel I attached a sampler of enamel shapes.

On the right side panels I attached jelly clips by making bands of paper that were attached with strong adhesive tape.  The clips were inserted through the loops and to the last loop, a strand of mini clips were tied on.
For the bottom panel I attached two bobbins with samplers of washi tapes!  The bobbins were held in place with large brads.
Now that the inside is complete, it's time to finish the outside! The flaps were folded neatly into the square shape.  A band of patterned paper (approximately 3"X 12") was wrapped around the folded packet and then a piece of strong adhesive added to hold the ends together.
Lastly, the front was decorated with a square of paper , stickers and then addressed to the pen pal!

Thank you for joining me today in sharing one of my favorite projects to make!
