PETITE PRINTS IT'S A RAINBOW KIND OF DAY LAYOUT | with Tarrah

You would have to agree that everyday is a Rainbow Kind of Day right? Especially when you have gorgeous New Petite Print papers to work with!

I decided to cut out the 'It's a Rainbow Kind of Day' cut file from white cardstock and then I cut it out again using the New Petite Prints Candy Stripe-Sprinkles 6' x 6' paper pad. I then pieced all of the pieces together to create the pretty cut file. I used mainly the sprinkle side of the paper but I also flipped it to show the stripes on 2 of the letters in the Rainbow word.

I adhered the cut file using craft foam to the white Plaid-Polka Dot 12' x 12' paper, I trimmed this paper down and then adhered the whole layout to the red Candy Stripe-Sprinkles 12' x 12' patterned paper. I placed my photo in the top right corner to balance out the larger elements on the page.

I combined the gorgeous Over the Rainbow collection with the Petite Prints collection and love how everything co-ordinates! I added lots of gorgeous embellishments to the cut file and around my page as well.

In the centre of the 'O' I added the super cute Clover Doodle-Pop and you can see the detail in the rainbow where I added some enamel dots in corresponding colors.

I love how my layout turned out, I just love rainbows and color (who doesn't?) so this is definitely a favorite layout of mine! I hope you enjoyed reading about how I created it?!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy creating!

OVER THE RAINBOW MY SUNSHINE GIRL LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and I've got a super colorful layout for y'all on this beautiful Monday. I have really been enjoying the Over The Rainbow collection and have been so inspired with the gorgeous colors and fun elements. Here's my page:

I really liked the Shine Bright 12x12 patterned paper and was inspired to create a page with a rainbow design. I took the polka dot side of the Petite Prints 12x12 paper and trimmed down 1.5"x12" inch strips of Cupcake, Bubblegum, Mandarin, Lemon, Grasshopper, Limeade, Pistachio, Bubble Blue, Blue Jean and Lilac. I then ran each strip through a doily punch from my stash to give them all a fun bordered edge.

I wanted the strips of paper to really stand out so I adhered them to a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed down to 11"x11". I adhered it to the Shine Bright paper and really like how it came together! I arranged the paper strips in rainbow order, adhered them down and ran each one through my sewing machine. I also made sure to flip up the doily edges for extra interest. The Rainbow Bright Shaker Pop was a perfect addition to the layers!

I decided to use three photos instead of one on this page and I had them set to cascade down the layers of paper. The green grass in the photos really pop!

I chose a phrase from the Chit Chat pack for my title and added onto it using the Alphabet Soup Alpha Stickers in White.

I kept the embellishments pretty minimal and pulled a few pieces from the Odds & Ends pack and a few stickers from the Puffy Icons sticker sheet. Those little bugs and floral pieces were perfect for this page!!

Here's one last look at this bright and happy page!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you in my next post friends!

OVER THE RAINBOW HAPPY TOGETHER LAYOUT | with Nathalie

It is time for a new dose of rainbow! The new Over the Rainbow collection is just glorious, and perfect for all sorts of documenting. I am just so excited to share my first project with it!

I wanted to showcase a rainbow on my page and to showcase some of the cute mushrooms of the collection that match the ones in the photo of my little cousins.

I started my page by creating my background from a piece of Petite Print paper ( just trimmed it in half, and flipped one side). Then, I used a curve ruler to cut patterned paper strips from the Over The Rainbow papers, and added a Buffalo Check/Woodgrain Petite Print to complete the rainbow look. I attached them to the center of the background in a layered look.

I backed my picture with papers from the 6x6 paper pad and Bits and Pieces. I set it in the valley that the rainbow curved paper strips created on the page. I added a few Chit Chat Pieces & a sticker from the This & That Stickers for my title.

The embellishments in the Over The Rainbow collection are so cute, and the mushrooms were just the perfect complement for this picture. That mushroom Doodle Pop fit just right on the page. I added a few pieces from the Chit Chats to complete my spread.

I love how this page turned out! The new Over The Rainbow collection is sure to make you bring happiness to your memories. Be sure to check it out!  XO

LOTS OF LOVE RAINBOW MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hello friends!  I'm always inspired by the adorable icons in every Doodlebug collection.  Some of my favorites in the Lots of Love collection are the cute rainbows so I decided to use the adorable Lots of Love Rainbow-2 SVG file to create the cover of a fun circle shaped album.

I cut the rainbow pieces out of dot/stripe petite prints, and added lots of cute mini hearts  across the white stripe.  The clouds are from the odds & ends and I cut off the "raining hearts" so the clouds would fit.  An enamel sun and cloud added a little extra color and shine to the top portion of the cover.

For the bottom of the cover, I added the bubble gum heart pattern and a yellow border sticker from the This & That sheet to give a background behind the cute chit chat title and hearts.  Love all of that color!!

Inside the album, each 7" page was covered with patterns from the 12x12 papers.  That pretty floral design is one of my favorites!

I added the 3x4 mailbox card to the front of a folded card.  This card flips up for pictures or to add a sweet love note :). I used a smaller icon sticker for the packages ... don't they look cute next to the larger delivery truck?

Whenever I make my shaped albums, I pick the patterns for the front of each page first.  This way, when the pages are all fanned out, the layers are all different and super colorful!  Deciding on the papers is one of my favorite parts of creating an album, and with Doodlebug, every piece is so cute!

I used bumblebee and pistachio petite prints for the pages above and below.  They provided a solid background so that the pattern mats would really pop off the page.  That plaid is another favorite!

Well I hope my circle-shaped album has inspired you to step "outside the box" and make something in a different shape!  And I've seen so many cute projects out there using the Lots of Love collection so be sure to tag Doodlebug and Artsy Albums so we can see what you're creating!!  Have a wonderful rest of your week everyone!

FAIRY GARDEN RAINBOW LAYOUT | with Lisa

Do you love rainbows as much as I do? I could create something with rainbow colors on each and every layout... :), especially using the cute Doodlebug colors.  Here's my rainbow layout I created with the new Fairy Garden collection.

Looking at the pretty colors and cute little characters in the collection, I knew I wanted to create a rainbow layout using as many embellishments as possible. I had the idea to create this tiered circle. I have made layouts similar to this one and they always turn out so cute. I didn't have a seven-tiered circle cut file though, so I created one on my Silhouette. I wanted to include six colors and one photo.

When I had my circle cut out, I chose the papers to create my backgrounds. I chose them from different Doodlebug patterned paper packs. I backed my circle with the six colors and then I hand-stitched all around the borders using matching embroidery floss. When I was done, I machine-stitched over the lines, on the inside of the circle, with white thread and I adhered the circle to a white cardstock sheet. I matted my photo on white paper and then vellum and placed it in the designated spot on the layout, using thick foam squares.

Then came the best part. Choosing all the embellishments, make them even cuter and add everything onto the six triangles. I added sequins and glitter in each of the six colors to some of the die-cut pieces that I chose. It really made a difference and looked so cute. I added some to the tiers with liquid glue, while using foam squares for others, to create dimension.

Then I also wanted to add Sprinkles and Jewels. Love how it turned out :)  I didn't have any space left for my title, so I decided to add it partly over my photo. I used the word "sweet" from the die-cuts and wrote the word "times" using the Abigail alphabet stickers. To finish, I splattered paint in matching colors all around my circle.

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you like the layout,  see you soon,

YOU ARE YOUR OWN RAINBOW LAYOUT | with Erica

Have you seen the new Doodlebug Design confetti shape sprinkles yet? They come in the beautiful rainbow Doodlebug Design colors and are perfect for so many different projects! Today I want to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout with you using the new confetti shape sprinkles, a cut file, some petite prints and doodle pops!

I started with a cut file I have had in my Silhouette library. I backed the cut file with beautiful pattern papers from Doodlebug petite prints. I didn't want to use a specific collection for this layout but instead pulled different pieces that would match the confetti shape sprinkles! That is one thing I love about Doodlebug products! You can mix and match so many products!

I added foam adhesive all over the back of my cut file so that it would be popped up from the background. I really wanted to add splashes of color around the backed cut file but instead of using inks and mists I decided to use the fun new confetti shape sprinkles! This will give the layout some fun dimension and interest!

I adhered the confetti shape sprinkles all around the cut file and in between any open spots on the cut file. I love all the texture and pops of color it adds to the layout. I pulled out some fun doodle pops from my stash and added them to the cut file as well for even more color and interest! The doodle pops are my favorite and the big sun just makes me so happy!

I tucked in a few tab stickers above my photos that I had printed out in black and white. For another fun pop of color I added the rainbow striped scallop boarder sticker. I love how this layout turned out and I think it will look very cut displayed using one of the Doodlebug Design clip art boards!

Thank you so much for stopping by today I hope you found some inspiration here today on using the new confetti shape sprinkles.

A RAINBOW OF COLOR | with Caroli

I love colors, anything, anywhere, anytime! I love wearing colorful clothes, living in a colorful space, making colorful scrapbooks, and the list goes on and on. I really enjoy being this colorful, and as someone told me the other day, it's not just about the clothes, it's a statement and a way of life, and this is what I wanted to document in this super colorful layout.
I went for a sunburst design with rainbow colors, the products of Doodlebug Design are perfect for this colorful and rainbowy idea I had in mind, the colors are so bright and happy.
Some of my favorite items from all those manufactured by Doodlebug are Doodlepops and Sprinkles, and I wanted to use plenty of then in this layout. I looked for the colors I needed on my stash and just used a huge bunch of them!nI love the volume of this kind of embellishments.
For my title I used some Teensy Typo alphas in white color and a word I cut on my Silhouette Cameo using free font Better Together in purple cardstock. The title is part of one of my fave songs ever, by Canadian band Arcade Fire.

I love how this layout came out, its so happy and colorful, and it documents the current moment of my life, which happens to be like a colorful sunburst :)

I hope you liked this idea, it is a super fast and easy layout and I feel so satisfied that I used a huge amount of embellishments, specially Doodle Pops.
