AT THE ZOO - DAY AT THE ZOO LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Who doesn't love a trip to the zoo?! I have had these photos of my sons visiting Sydney's Taronga Zoo printed for quite some time now (probably 8 years lol!) waiting for the perfect collection to document them. The At the Zoo collection is awesome and was perfect for my photos, I love how my layout turned out!

As I had 6 photos to document and I wanted to use them all on one page, I decided on a grid design for my layout. Grid designs are excellent for keeping things uniform and neat on a page without going too overboard!

I started with the Zoo paper for my background and trimmed down the 'B' side of the Roly Poly Pandas paper and adhered this to the Zoo paper. All of my photos are backed with papers from the 6' x 6' paper pad and popped up using craft foam underneath. The Zippity Zoo Dots paper was added as a horizontal strip in the centre of the layout.

3 border strip stickers and the plaque title sticker that reads 'Day at the Zoo' were added from the This and That sticker sheet. On either side of the title I added some greenery die-cuts from the Odds and Ends pack. To help draw the viewer's eye to each of the photos, I added a super cute Doodle-Pop or a cardstock icon sticker or an enamel sticker to them. The animals are just adorable in this collection!!

I added some more phrase and word stickers from the This and That sticker sheet to help tell the story of the trip to the zoo. I stamped the date stamp from the day we visited the zoo and also took 4 of the black Zoo Assortment Matte Sprinkles enamel dots and added one to each of the 4 corners of the layout, I love how this finishes off the page.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired to document your wild animal adventures using the At the Zoo collection!  Happy creating!

AT THE ZOO WILD ADVENTURE LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Summer is time for adventure, especially when that involves a visit to your local zoo. So what better way to document those fun moments than the fun and colorful At the Zoo collection.

It just works so perfectly for this memory of my little cousins enjoying the zoo resting spots. It was so easy to bring this together.

It all started with the Zoo Paper, I carefully cut out the woodgrain frame out of it. I then trimmed a piece of the Roly Poly Pandas paper and adhere to the bottom of the Zippity-Zoo Dots paper. Next, I adhere the woodgrain frame to the papers.

I backed the picture with a paper from the 6x6 paper pad, and set it inside the frame. It was then time to embellish my spread with all those pieces from the collection.

All those cute animal stickers are just perfect to frame the photo and bring more of the images in the picture. I added a few of them around the picture, and that helped frame it all.

I mixed some of the stickers with pieces from the Odds and Ends to create the title for my page. I set it at the bottom of the picture then added a few Sprinkles all around the page to complete my layout.

I hope this inspires you to pull your At the Zoo collection to document your wild adventure memories!
XO!

AT THE ZOO - ZOO ADVENTURE LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I've got a fun layout to share using the At The Zoo collection. I loved taking the boys to the zoo when they were little and we have no shortage of great memories to document. Here's my page:

To start, I went through the patterned papers and selected the Roly Poly Pandas, Zoo Friends and At The Zoo papers. I used At The Zoo as my base and adhered a piece of textured white cardstock sized at 11x12 right on top. I then took the B side of Roly Poly Pandas and the Zoo Friends papers and trimmed them both down. I adhered them at the top of my page with the intent of having my photos and embellishments cascade down towards the center of my design.

Next, I went through the Odds & Ends pack and selected a few pieces that matched my photos. We were at the flamingo exhibit and the flamingos in this collection are so adorable!!!

I matted my photos using the 6x6 Paper Pad and made sure to pop one up on foam tape for some interest. I then started to embellish around my photos using more ephemera pieces, Icons and Mini Icons Stickers.

For my title, I used a phrase piece from the Odds & Ends pack and paired it with a Mini Icon sticker. It was perfect!

I then added some smaller elements using the Jungle Leaves Shape Sprinkles and the At The Zoo Matte Sprinkles.

Here's one last look at this colorful and fun page:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. I'll see you in my next post friends!

FUN AT THE PARK HAPPY MEMORIES LAYOUT | with Erica

Hey friends! Erica here with you today to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Fun at the Park collection.

I decided to use this collection to document photos that are not from "the park" and just some photos of my daughter and her boyfriend in front of the Ferris wheel!

I started by picking out some basic papers from the Fun at the Park collection and trimmed down five of them to 2" x 9" strips and adhered them to a piece of 12x12 Lily White cardstock. Next I pulled out some non themed embellishments and then die cut some stitched hearts! I knew I wanted to add a line of embellishments going down the left side of the page.

I started by adding the largest hearts first and then filling in with odds & ends, fussy cut elements, icon stickers and sprinkles!

I matted my photos onto some pattern paper from the 6x6 Fun at the Park paper pad and adhered down to the page. I used two chit chat pieces for my title and placed them under the photo.

This layout was really fun to put together using it for a different theme than being at the park! I love all the bold black elements in this collection and I think they pop with the black and white photos! I have a lot of stitched hearts left so I am going to challenge myself to create another non themed layout!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you are inspired to give this collection a different look at use it for non themed photos!

SEASIDE SUMMER GOOD TIMES LAYOUT | with Erica

Hey friends! Erica here with you today sharing a colorful 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Seaside Summer collection!

Seaside Summer is one of my favorite Doodlebug Collections and it is perfect for all your summer memories! I started my layout with one of my exclusive cut files that I cut out with some Lily White Doodlebug Design Textured Cardstock.

I backed the leaves in the Tropical Wreath cut file with 12x12 and 6x6 papers from the Seaside Summer collection. I added foam adhesive all over the backed cut file and adhered down to a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed down and matted onto the Flamingo Frenzy 12x12 paper.

Next I added some Seaside Summer odds & ends around the wreath and popped each die cut up with foam adhesive to give the wreath some dimension and interest.

I created a couple embellishment clusters with the popped up Seaside Summer odds & ends. My photos are printed out in black & white and matted onto some 6x6 patterned paper. I placed my summer photos in the center of the wreath and used one of the Seaside Summer cardstock stickers to the bottom of the photos.

To finish off the layout I added a flower die cut to the top of my photos along with a word sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet. For a little more interest I added some sweet sprinkles around the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you are inspired to create using the Seaside Summer collection!

HOMETOWN USA WREATH LAYOUT | with Erica

What is one design that you can do over and over again on your scrapbook pages? For me it is a wreath design or large circular element in the center! Today I have a fun layout using the Hometown USA collection to share with you.

I am using some Lily White Textured Cardstock for my base and I have trimmed it down to 11.50" square. Next I layered a piece of solid cardstock and a 12x12 pattern paper from the Hometown USA collection.

I used a large circle template to draw a circle in the middle of the layout base and then began to adhere some of the large acetate fireworks from the Bits & Pieces pack.

Next I added a second and third layer of fireworks using more acetate, Icon stickers and Odds & Ends. I used foam adhesive to adhere them down to give them a lot of dimension.

After all the layers were down I went in with smaller elements from the Hometown USA collection like puffy icon stickers, sprinkles and mini icon stickers. I matted my photos on some pattern papers from the 6x6 paper pad and adhered to the layout.

I created a smaller cluster of embellishments above the photos and added one of the Chit Chat pieces for my title below the photos!

I just love how it turned out and how easy it was to create the wreath! There are so many little elements around the wreath giving it so much dimension and interest! Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today!

HOMETOWN USA FIREWORKS LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I've got another layout using the Hometown USA collection. There are a lot of fireworks pieces in this collection so I thought it would be fun to document some photos of my boys setting off some a few years ago. Here's my page:

To start, I pulled out the Summer Celebration 12x12 paper and used it as a base. I took the Polka-Dot Pride 12x12 paper and trimmed it down to a 9x12. Next, I layered a piece of the white cardstock from the 12x12 Textured Cardstock Assortment that I trimmed down to a 6x12 right on top of it. I was able to display some pretty patterned papers and also have the pretty white to make my photos and embellishments pop.

I love large ephemera pieces but sometimes I have a hard time incorporating them into my layouts. I kept this in mind when I was putting my page together and made sure to leave space for this adorable plane from the Odds & Ends pack. It fit perfectly!

I matted my photos using the 6x6 Paper Pad and centered them on my page. I then adhered the fireworks stickers from the Freedom Fireworks Shaker-Pops on each side. For my title, I chose the 'Fireworks' phrase from the Chit Chat pack and centered in between my two photos. I love the font of this phrase, it's so fun!

To continue along with the fireworks theme, I pulled out a bunch of fireworks from both the Odds & Ends and Bits & Pieces packs. I popped them all up with foam tape and arranged them around my page. I also chose another phrase piece from the Chit Chat pack and centered it at the top of my photos.

The fireworks pieces really add additional pops of color throughout my design. For some finishing touches, I adhered some stars in some clusters and added in some tangled thread and silver paint splatters.

Here's one last look at this fun patriotic page:
