BUTTERFLY KISSES RESET, REFRESH, REWILD MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello everyone, and Happy International Scrapbooking Day! It's Conny here, and I'm back to share a lovely album using the Butterfly Kisses Collection, which is perfect for celebrating a day full of creativity!

Let's get started!   For the Album Base I cut 3 pieces of chipboard:  2 pieces measuring 8 1/4” x 4” for the front and back covers and 1 piece measuring 8 1/4” x 1 1/2” for the spine.

Next I covered the chipboard.  To wrap the chipboard, I used the Mushroom Meadow paper, cut to 10" x 11 1/4". I used a book cover guide tool, it's helpful if you have one.

I placed the first chipboard piece (8 1/4" x 4") about 3/4" from the left and top edges of the patterned paper.  I left a 1/8" gap, then adhere the spine piece (8 1/4" x 1 1/2").  After another 1/8" gap I adhered the second cover piece (8 1/4" x 4").
Lastly I mitered all four corners, applied double-sided adhesive and folded the edges inward to wrap the chipboard neatly.

I covered the inside of the chipboard with some Rainbow's End paper, cut to 8 1/8" x 9 1/2".

For my album pages, I Used black cardstock. I cut 2 pages at 8" x 8 1/8" and scored each on the 8” side at 3 3/4” and 4 1/4” to create a 1/2” center spine

For my interactive flips: For one of the pages, I added flips that open to the left and right.  I cut 2 pieces of black cardstock to 3 1/2" x 8 1/8".  I scored each on the 3 1/2” side at 1/2”.  Next I adhered these to the left and right edges of the page.  I used magnets to help keep the flips closed.

To add functional pockets I cut 2 pieces of cardstock to 3 1/2" x 5", and scored at 1/2" on three sides (bottom and both sides).  I then folded and adhered them to the bottom inside of the front and back covers.  These pockets are perfect for holding tags, journaling cards, or extra embellishments.

To mat the pages, I used papers from the 12" x 12" and 6" x 8" Butterfly Kisses paper pads.  I cut mats to approximately 3 1/2” x 7 7/8” to fit the black base pages.

Here's how I decorated my cover:  For a beautiful layered effect, I cut black cardstock to 3” x 7 1/2”.  Then I cut pink cardstock to 2 3/4” x 7 1/4”.  I centered the pink piece on the black and adhered it to the cover, leaving a nice border.

I then finished it off with  Doodle-Pops from the Butterfly Kisses and Rainbow Garden packs, and  Enamel dots for texture.. Lastly I added an acrylic title that reads Reset, Refresh, Rewild! from my Inner Creativity Shop.

For finishing touches I added journaling cards to the flip pages for meaningful notes or reflections and Included photo mats in a variety of sizes, such as 2" x 2", 3" x 4", and other custom dimensions to fit my needs.

This album is beautiful and functional—perfect for preserving your memories in style! I can't wait to see your Mini album. Check out my YouTube channel for a quick process Video.

OVER THE RAINBOW ADVENTURE MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello, crafty friends! It's Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity. Today, I’m excited to share how I created a 4" x 6" mini album using the Over the Rainbow collection. This collection is perfect for March and spring projects!
To start, I used three pieces of chipboard measuring 4" x 6" for the covers, along with a spine piece that measures 6" x 1".   To cover the chipboard, I chose the Limeade Buffalo Check - Wood Grain paper from the Over the Rainbow Petite Print assortment, which measured 10 3/4" x 7 1/2". I left about 3/4" of space all around the chipboard, and for the spine, about 1/8".

Next, I used double-sided tape to attach the paper to the chipboard. I then cut each corner at an angle, about 1/8" using a miter tool, and folded all the edges in over the chipboard. To cover the inside of the chipboard, I used the Shine Bright paper, cut to 9 1/4" x 5 3/4".
Next, I moved on to making the pages. For the first page, I created a pocket. I used the  Bubblegum Floral Graph paper, measuring 8" x 8". I scored it at 2" from the bottom, then cut at an angle about 1" in on the inside to create a folder-like look.

For the second page, I used the  Spring Garden paper, cut to 6" x 12". I scored it at 4" and 8". The orange with white polka dots mats measure about 5 3/4" x 3 3/4", which can easily accommodate 3" x 4" or 3" x 5" photos.
On the third page, I used the Flower Garden paper, which measured 10" x 6". I scored it along the longest side (10") at 8" to create a side pocket. I embellished this page with a Magical word Chit Chat and Icon Stickers. I also added some fun tags from one of my favorite papers in the collection,  Shine Bright, along with mini icons and some sprinkles across the pages.
For the cover page, I matted it with the Over the Rainbow paper, measuring 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". I layered this with the Citrus Floral Graph paper cut to 5 1/4" x 3 1/4", and added a welcome tree from the odds & ends collection. I included the Hello Sunshine Doodle-pop and the adventure Chit Chat.
\
Lastly, I stitched my pages using my sewing machine along the spine, but you can also hand-stitch them if you prefer. Enjoy crafting your mini album!
