by Tya Smith

Hi everyone - Tya here, sharing with you this fun and festive Patriotic Parade layout featuring the darling Simply Put Stars and Stripes 4x6 cards and the awesome pocket style page protectors from Doodlebug Design! I have a confession - The 4th of July  is my absolute favorite holiday! Because of that I usually end up taking oodles of photos on this holiday documenting every parade, flag and firework- so these nifty pocket style protectors and the 4x6 cards make scrapbooking these type of events quick and easy!

I am always on the lookout for an awesome brush script font - I used Cheddar Jack font from dafont.com. I love this one- Definitely a keeper!
Here is the pocket page-- this protector type is one of my favorites- I love the mix of vertical and horizontal photos , plus the 2 x 12 inch space on the side was perfect to highlight the darling star garland that is one of the newer products that Doodlebug came out with this year!

Here are the close ups of the pocket page elements- I used lots of different embellishments such as Stars and Stripes Jewels, Red, White and Blue mini pearls, Firecracker Doodlepops, Silver sprinkles, Red, White and Blue star sprinkles, and Ladybug hearts sprinkles.

Thanks for stopping by and remember when scrapbooking events that include lots of photos - reach for one of the super useful Simply Put 4x6 paper pads, and your favorite pocket page protector, and you will have darling pages in no time! Happy crafting!

Sugar Shoppe: Simply Put Pocket Page Layout

Hi everyone! Jodi here today to share with you some Simply Put pages that I have been working on using the Sugar Shoppe Collection.  The Simply Put cards make it so fun and easy to create fast and beautiful pages! I decided awhile back that I would start creating theme albums to help keep certain holidays and occasions together.  I have now started a few, but when the Sugar Shoppe Collection came out I knew that I wanted to document my oldest daughters Little Spa Birthday Party!  I created two double pages to add into her album.  Here is the first double page:

I used the 12 X 12 Storyteller pages, and started to add some patterned paper and simply put cards.  The best thing about these cards is you can leave them as is, since they are already SUPER cute, or you can add some embellishments too!  Here is the left side of the page:

On the horizontal Simply Put card in the middle, I added some Sprinkles on the same color dots, and added a little title too!  Do not be afraid of added some washi tape and stickers to your photos too for added detail!

Here is the right side of the page:

I used three Simply Put cards on this side! The calendar card, I added the date, but also decided that I should add an embellishment on top, so I added a sticker balloon from the icon sticker sheet  and added a twine string to it!

My next double page:

Some details from this page:

The Simply Put Card with the cupcakes could be used for journaling but I decided to spruce it up with some sticker cupcakes and of course a sequin for added sweetness! My favorite on this page was the way I used the treat bags! I sometimes have extra photos that I want to include but I do not have room for on my pages! The treat bags are an awesome addition to any storybook page as you can add as many extra photos as you wish:

Here is the right side of this page:

Lots of photos on here too!  I added more balloon stickers and added some stickers to my photos to finish it up!

I hope you enjoyed my storybook pages! They were so much fun to create and this collection is perfect for any little girl (or big girl) birthday!
