Ever since I can remember red has been my favorite color, so the choice for the "color" part of this challenge was easy, Doodlebug's "Ladybug" it would be! As for the other part of this challenge, the "inspired by" part, that turned out to be a lot harder. I have so many favorite Doodlebug projects that I had a hard time choosing just one, but in the end I decided on Kathy Skou's fabulous "2 Cute 2 Be Spooky" layout.
Here's what I created: a layout about my youngest son meeting his soccer idols. The colors of the soccer team are red/white: perfect for my Ladybug colors!
And this is the layout I chose from Kathy Skou (which I found here):
And here's a close-up of the title using the "Simply Sweet" and the "Teensy Type" alphabet stickers.
For my layout I mostly used the "Sweet Things" collection, some "Kraft in Color", a bit of "Sprinkles Vellum" and lots of the "Petite Prints" papers. Last but not least I added some machine stitching and journaling and I was done!
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by Doodlebug's blog today! Wishing you a great day!
xoxo
