One more long-shaped card base is found in the card and envelope pack so I used this one for this adorable bold rainbow die cut from the Chit Chat. Paired with the cute gnome in a hot air balloon die cut from the Odds and ends - this cute rainbow-themed card will be sure to brighten anyone's day! I love the little rainbows found on my pattern paper too! So cute!

OVER THE RAINBOW CUTE CARDS | with Karen
In my humble opinion, one of the best assignments we are given on the Doodlebug team is to revisit a collection we haven't featured for a bit. It is so much fun because you see it with a new set of eyes and it's like discovering the magic all over again!
Now this might sound funny, but one of the things I think I overlooked the last time I worked with collection is just how happy it really is. I mean, the colours alone are enough to brighten up any day. So I decided that on these gloomy days of spring, celebrating the happy with a new card set was just what I would do.
Now, if you have seen any projects I have done in the past, you'll know that I am all about the layers. But one of the amazing things about Over The Rainbow is that because the colours and patterns are so bold, layering actually seems to take away from the designs. I had these cards layered with all sorts of tags and cuties from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat packs, but as I worked with the design, I kept peeling them back, one by one.

The funny part was that as I would get them down to a fairly simple design, I would try layering them up again, only to find myself peeling things back again. These cards, while they look simple, took me FOREVER to finalize!
But I really love them the way they are. The white border around the dies cuts creates just enough contrast to make them pop without competing with the amazing patterns and colours on the 6x6 paper I used for the bases.
A few strategically placed mini jewels on each design was all they needed for a little extra umph!
At the end of the day, these cards make me smile and I am so glad that I got to dig in and pull out all the fun rainbow aspects of this collection. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

OVER THE RAINBOW DOODLE CUTS CARDS | with Karen
I am a total creature of habit. When I go to make cards, out come the stamps and the Odds and Ends collections and I get to work. But every now and again I like to challenge myself to try something different. So today, I decided to see what kinds of cards I could come up with using Doodlebug's Stand Alone Doodle Cuts. Let's just say that a whole lot of fun ensued!
There are two sets of Doodle Cuts that coordinate with the Over the Rainbow set so I decided to use both and then mix and match!
I started by created the little gnome characters and then went from there. The most fun was designing their outfits. In fact, I changed them up a few times before I settle on the ones that you see.
It was a little bit like making paper dolls when I was a kid, and it was a blast! I often go for a similar effect with paper piecing stamps, but because of the size of these die cuts, I was able to utilize the patterns on the 6x6 paper more effectively because they are a bit bigger. then I just went to town creating mushrooms, flowers...
...and this adorable sun to create little scenes.
Oh, and then, because I couldn't resist the amazing Puffy Icons that coordinate as well, I used those to embellish the bottom of the envelopes that I was using for this card set. Puffy Stickers?!!! Oh yeah!
I can't wait to give this cute set away. I really love the dimension and bright colours that were created with this product. They really are "So Much Fun"! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

OVER THE RAINBOW GNOME SWEET GNOME CARDS | with Karen
The first thing I decided to do was make some cards so I could share the delightfulness! Out came the Gnome Sweet Gnome stamps and the coordinating Cards & Envelopes and I got to work.
This stamp set is amazing because you can create all sorts of scenes with the characters. I did a little bit of masking here to experiment with the gnome character holding the flower and having the cloud and second flower appear to be behind other shapes.
And because this little gnome was as cute as she could be, I did some more masking here to add the rainbow and flowers with her.
But as you can see, switch up the additional shapes and you have a completely different scene. This is the same gnome from the first card, just placed with other objects. Oh, and because Doodlebug includes some cute eye/mouth stamps in the set, you can turn any of the objects into Doodlebug characters of their own. This is the same cloud stamp from the other two cards - just with a little personality of his own!
This collection is as versatile as they come. Put that together with the overall cuteness factor and you have a collection here that you will be wanting to craft with all year. Let's just say that it hasn't left my crafty table since it arrived! What does that mean? More cuteness to come! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

DOWN ON THE FARM POP UP CARDS | with Kathy
Down on the Farm is one of my all-time favorite collections. The little critters are absolutely adorable! The cows, pigs and sheep just make me smile! I decided to make a few pop up cards using some of the stickers from the collection. I love how there's always plenty of icons to make up little scenes! Take a peek...
I love the punny sentiments in this collection. They make it easy to create cards that are more "all purpose", springy cards. The first card I created was with the little cow. He is udder-ly adorable. And really... "Cow's it Going?"... just perfect.
As I said, I love how all Doodlebug collections contain a variety of icons that allow you to build some fun little scenes! Have you created any projects using the Down on the Farm Collection? Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram, we love to see what you create! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

PETITE PRINTS SPRING CARDS | with Wanda
Hello Doodlebug Friends! Wanda here with some cards for Spring, inspired by one of my most favorite Doodlebug items: Gingham Petite Prints! For years and years it has been a staple item in my craft room. I have a stack about four inches thick! It comes in both 6x6 and 12x12 and I use it on everything! Today I was inspired by the coming of Spring so I created cards with sunflowers and rainbows... And super happy colors. The small prints from Doodlebug (gingham, stripes, dots, etc.) can so easily work as 'neutrals' in place of plain cardstock. Try it sometime! I love this look and I really love to make die cut cards.
For my sunflower card I used the Doodle Cuts Nesting Scallop Dies and the Doodle Cuts Hello There Dies. The flowers and leaves were all die cut from the 6x6 Gingham Paper Pad. The finished card is an A2 Kraft Cardstock base. I layered Florals, vellum and white....
Here is a close up of my paper layers. I used LOTS of white gel pen accents to add visual interest to the gingham paper. I added a small embellishment I made with two Doodlebug Buttons and Doodlebug Twine. Oh, and I love to add hearts to my projects, so there are a few hearts and Sprinkles too!
For my 'hello' sentiment I stacked two die cuts made with black cardstock and then added white accents to them too. I attached to flowers to the card using foam tape so they pop right off the card. You could use this same card layout and make the flowers any color to match your theme or favorite color. I just happen to really love sunflowers!
My next card is a gingham rainbow! The finished card is a white A2 card base. I used the AMAZING Doodlebug Raindrops Vellum paper as my background layer. (This paper has shiny raised raindrops and it's so pretty), then a layer of white. I die cut the rainbow stripes and attached them to the card. I used the Hello There Doodle Cuts to make those fluffy clouds and the hearts.
I generously sprinkled paper hearts and Mini Jewels all around the rainbow!
I absolutely adore this sentiment from the Cute And Crafty Clear Stamp Set. I stamped it in black ink directly onto one of the clouds. It fit perfectly! This would be a fun card to give your creative friends!
That's it for me today! Get out your supplies and create! Have a great week and I'll see you back here soon!

FAIRY GARDEN ODDS & ENDS CARDS | with Karen
It is no secret that I am addicted to Doodlebug stamps. As a card maker, I use them on almost every project I create. But before Doodle Stamps came along, my favourite card making products were the Doodlebug Odds and Ends die cut sets. In fact, even though stamps often feature prominently on my projects, you will almost always find Odds and Ends and Chit Chat sentiments on them as well.
So today, I decided to go back to my Doodlebug roots and have some fun with the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat sets...
...to help me create an absolutely adorable Fairy Garden card set.
When you are creating cards, having a variety of shapes and pieces that work together helps to create layers that add dimension to your cards. And given that Doodlebug LOADS the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat packages, you can create SO many cards, each with a unique look.
I also find that since I usually make A2 cards, these die cuts are also the perfect size for standard cards helping to create a scale on your cards that works every single time...even on fun interactive cards like these pop out explosion cards.
Whether you are decorating in front of the card or the inside of the card, you will find shapes and sentiments that will work! And while I love stamping and colouring, when Doodlebug does the work for you, creation time is cut in half!
So there you have it! A little inspiration for some cards that simply need a little cutting a little glueing. I hope you love them as much as I do!
Thanks for stopping by!
