OVER THE RAINBOW FRAMES | with Tarrah

Even though St. Patrick's Day has been and gone, that doesn't mean I can't share some super cute home décor items I created using the gorgeous Over the Rainbow collection!

I decided to decorate a cute glass jar and some small photo frames I had in my home. It was so fun to create little scenes in the frames! These cute decorations have really brightened up my home over the last few weeks and I love how they turned out!

The first frame I decorated measures 6' x 6' so I simply took a piece of patterned paper from the 6' x 6' paper pad and added it to the backing of the frame. I then built up the scene using mostly die-cuts. I popped up the wishing well, the banner title and the clover border with foam tape. Once these were all adhered, I added some smaller embellishments like tiny heart stickers to the edge of the well and also some flower details at the base of the well. I also included one of the rainbow puffy stickers above the title too.

The glass jar was a perfect gift for a good friend, I filled it with some chocolate gold coins - yum! To decorate the jar, I was able to take the round die-cut with the title of 'My Lucky Charm' and adhered it to the top of the lid. It was the perfect size to fit the lid! I tied some black twine around the top of the jar and added the green clover tag, I layered over one of the stickers using foam tape and added a small sprinkle for some more detail on the clover. For the front and back of the jar, I took my 2 inch circle punch and punched out 2 circles from the clover paper in the 6' x 6' paper pad and adhered these. On the front one, I added the rainbow die-cut and love the pop of color!

For the smaller frame, I took the clover paper again and trimmed it down to 4' x 4' and adhered this to the backing of the frame. I then adhered the cute mushroom die-cut using foam tape and layered over the Happy St Patrick's Day title banner. I also added the clover die-cuts using foam tape and added a Sprinkle to each of the clovers, again to add some more detail.

Creating doesn't have to be complicated or time consuming! Creating some simple, cute pieces to decorate your home with is a great way to use your products and imagine the comments you would get if you gave the glass jar gift to a friend?! Super cute! Happy creating everyone!

OVER THE RAINBOW LUCKY YOU LAYOUT | with Erica

Hello friends! Erica here with you today sharing a colorful 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Over The Rainbow collection and a large cut file!

When I saw this cut file I knew it would be perfect with the Over The Rainbow collection! I cut it out on some white textured cardstock from Doodlebug Design and backed it with Petite Prints that match the collection. The textured white cardstock is my favorite white cardstock to use with my cutting machine!

For my layout base I picked two pattern papers from the Over The Rainbow collection. The Rainbow Wishes paper was the perfect background for this colorful cut file. I trimmed it down to 11x11 and matted it onto the colorful Shine Bright 12x12 paper. To add some texture and to help frame the layout I added some stitching with my sewing machine. I used some pink thread to match the collection and it helps add another pop of color around the page.

I used foam adhesive all over the back of the cut file to pop it up from the layout base. For my photos I created two small photo strips of Liam Jay with his shamrock headband! He was super excited to get this and even more pumped up because it lit up! He is our big ball of energy and there is never a dull moment with Liam! I added the photos to the left side of the rainbow and added a chit chat banner under the photos.

I kept the embellishments light because I really wanted the photos and the rainbow to shine on this layout! The cute cloud die cuts were perfect to add around the page and I had to use one of the hot air balloons! To add some more color and texture to the rainbow I added some puffy hearts in the center.

This layout is full of color and joy just like our Liam Jay! I hope you enjoyed this layout using the Over The Rainbow collection and some Doodlebug Design Petite Prints! Head on over to my YouTube channel to see my process video.

OVER THE RAINBOW GOODIE BOXES | with Miguel

I tell you that in México we are not used to holding St. Patrick's Day celebrations,  but I love everything related to it and its colors.  For us, it could work as a theme of good luck and that is why I make these fun goodie boxes to inspire you!

They are transparent boxes that I made with cardstock and mica. and decorated with the colorful Over the Rainbow collection.  I used papers embellishments and washi tape from the same collection to decorate them and the result is incredible!

Inside, I added details such as a beautiful mini notebook since I think it is  very useful!  I also added an acrylic boot that goes perfectly with the theme and of course a decorated pen.

I love the Doodle Cuts that come with this collection.  They play an important factor in my decoration since I decorated my pieces with them and they are beautiful! They are made with Doodlebug's Textured cardstock. I used both the Hello There and Spring Garden Doodle Cuts.

Have fun creating with these beautiful products full of color and incredible designs, see you soon!

OVER THE RAINBOW LEPRECHAUN CANDY HUGGERS | with Kathy

St. Patrick's Day is this Friday, and I'm all set with some fun little Leprechaun candy Huggers!  These would be so fun to give to friends & family or as a classroom treat.  Take a peek....

I started with the fun Gnomies Doodle Cut Dies and papers from the Over the Rainbow Collection.  I turned my gnomes into Leprechauns simply by dressing them in some of the green papers from the collection.  I altered the die cuts slightly to give them longer arms to hug the chocolate kisses.  Below, I've outlined the steps I took to make them...

To start, I cut the pieces of the gnome as shown above.  I cut a 3/16" x 6" strip of the Lucky Me shamrock paper from the 6x6 pad and a small piece of black for the eyes and mouth.  I also cut another gnome body from the back side of the Lucky Me paper.  I like to do this if I'm using a double sided paper so that I can cover the back and give it a cleaner look.

Next.  I added the black piece to the back of the main Leprechaun body behind the eyes and mouth.
I covered the whole back with the extra gnome body.  I kept the eye and mouth cut outs and glued them in the openings to make it look solid.

I flipped the gnome cut out to the front side.  I cut just the legs portion of the main body piece from the sprinkles of color paper in the 6x6 pad so that I could give him some colorful stockings.  Next I glued on his shirt, cuffs, belt, buckle and shoes.  Once he was assembled to this point I snipped off his arms (cruel, I know, but I promise, he was ok....)  I then added his beard, hat, nose and eyebrows.
I flipped him back over to the back side, centered the long strip along where his arms were and glued it to the back of the body.  Now when you flip him over, he has extra long arms to hold a treat!
I added a glue dot to his body, to hold the kiss, wrapped his arms around the kiss and glued them together.  To complete, I added his little hands with the cuffs attached to make it look like he was hugging the kiss!

For the girl leprechaun, the process was basically the same.  Here are some close-ups of each of my leprechauns...

I hope these little cuties bring you some luck this St. Patrick's Day!  That's all for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

OVER THE RAINBOW EXPLOSION TREAT BOX | with Kathy

St. Patrick's Day will be here soon, and since I come from a long line of Kelley's, Barrett's, McDonough's and Doyle's, well you know I have to celebrate!   The Over the Rainbow Collection is perfect for the holiday with all of those cute gnomes and clovers!  I decided to make a fun explosion box with a little surprise inside... take a peek...

I used this file from Lori Whitlock for the box part of my explosion box.  I decorated the outside of the box with some colorful Doodle-Bugs and flowers from the Odds & End Collection.  For the top I added a rainbow and sun also from the Odds & Ends.

Remove the cover and surprise!  There's a pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow... and a cute little leprechaun of course!

How cute is that Leprechaun??  I used the Gnomies Doodle Cuts to piece him together with the shamrock paper from the 6x6 pad.  To make my pot of gold, I cut two of the  Pot of Gold-Pot of Gold SVG file, then glued them to either side of a little box (sized about 1.5" cubed).

All that was left was to decorate the box flaps.  I used a combination of Odds & Ends, Lots O' Luck, Little Lady and Spring Garden Shaped Sprinkles, A Chit Chat sentiment, Limeade Doily and the Bits & Pieces.

And of course... I filled the pot with some gold covered chocolates!  This would make a fun gift for a friend or your sweetie!  Have you created any fun projects with the Over the Rainbow collection?  Make sure that you tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook & Instagram.  We love to see what you make!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

OVER THE RAINBOW THIS MAKES ME HAPPY LAYOUT | with Erica

Hello friends! Erica here with you today and I am super excited to be sharing my first layout with the Over the Rainbow collection.

This collection is full of color and I could not wait to dive in and create! The beautiful Over the Rainbow 12x12 pattern paper is a favorite so that is the first paper I grabbed when I started to create!

I knew I wanted to use a large title cut file and back it with this colorful paper! I used my Silhouette cameo to cut out both the cut file and the backer piece. I made sure to set it up so it would cut the backer in the center of the pattern paper so I could use the rest of the paper to mat my white cardstock.

The white cardstock I used is trimmed down to 11x11 and matted onto the leftover piece of the Over the Rainbow 12x12 paper. I wanted to add some stitching to the layout so I ran it through my sewing machine. I went with a blue thread to match the collection and I love the color and texture it adds to the layout.

Next I added foam adhesive all over the back of the backed cut file and adhered down to the layout base! I matted my four photos of Liam using the Over the Rainbow 6x6 paper pad and some 6x6 petite prints.

I kept the embellishments simple but knew I wanted to add one of the cute rainbow die cuts and one of the adorable gnomes! I just love how this layout turned out and it just shows how much Liam loves his shamrock glasses! This age is so fun and he can't wait to try and catch a leprechaun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you are inspired to create using the Over the Rainbow collection!
