OH BOY! STAMPED CARD | with Kathy

When I make cards, I love making little scenes... this is even easier to do when you combine Doodlebug Stamps and Papers!  Take a peek...

The Simply Spring Oh Boy! Stamps and dies are so cute!  I loved the little boy on the swing and thought it would be cute to combine him with the clouds paper from the Simply Spring 6x6 pad and the grass paper from the Hoppy Easter 6x6 pad to make a summery scene.
I embossed the images to make them pop a bit more, and layered everything using a bit of foam tape to give it more dimension.    Such a fun way to brighten someone's day!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Daily Doodles Challenge : Summer Bucket List by Tya

Hello Doodlebug friends - it's Tya and I am up on the blog wrapping up our Daily Doodles Challenge. For my project I decided to do a Summer Bucket List. If you aren't familiar with what that is - its where you make a list of all the fun things that your family wants to do for activities during the summer. I love making these - they are especially helpful for those "I am bored" days that summer sometimes brings. The Bumblebee Daily Doodles Cardstock was the perfect base for making my list. I placed the list on a Natural Clipart clipboard and added a cute, bright red bow to finish it off.
So to start with I gathered up all my supplies. I used the Sunkissed, Happy Camper , Homerun and the Patriotic Picnic lines. I also used lots of Teensy Type, Love Letter and Skinny letter stickers. Doodlebug certainly has no shortage of darling icons and embellishments that I was able to use for this project.
I printed off a few photos from some past summers and added those to the squares. They measure 1 3/4 x 1 3/4. I then started filling in the squares with fun activity ideas and embellished the ideas with coordinating embellishments. Here are some close ups of the squares
I covered up the days of the week with an adorable Popsicle Fancy Frill.

This project was  so much fun to make. I am looking forward to hanging it up and checking off all the fun activities that we will do this summer. Hopefully I have inspired you to make up your own Summer Bucket List. The kids loved helping come up with ideas of what we could do and helping me pick out all the embellishments too. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunkissed Collection: Layout Inspiration by Melinda

Hello and Happy Easter... it's Melinda with you today and I'm finishing the week off with one final project using the gloriously bright and funky 'Sunkissed' collection.

A dear friend of mine had some amazing photos taken of her boys in their new pool and I couldn't resist creating a layout for her using Sunkissed... it just seemed to work in perfectly!

I've commited myself to making sure that every layout I do from now on has some form of story, no matter how brief and it must also contain a date. I have been a little slack worrying more about design than actually paying attention to the details that will matter in years to come.

However, in saying that... I still want to play around with fun designs and I'm hooked on using all the little embellishments to create fun mosaic styled backgrounds for my photos. And how cute are all the 'Sunkissed' bits and pieces? Doodlebug's standard colour palette means that no matter what collection you are using, all the embellishments will match... no matter what! Love it!

I love hand stitching on layouts because I truly find it relaxing and it means I can sit and catch up on a bit of television whilst I'm at it... it's my therapy!

Thank you for stopping by today and again I would like to wish you all a happy Easter!

- Melinda
