TINSEL TIME CARDS & TAGS | with Tya

The holiday season is here, and there is nothing more heartfelt than giving a handmade card or tag to accompany your gifts! Using the cheerful and whimsical Tinsel Time collection, I created a delightful assortment of holiday-themed cards and tags perfect for spreading joy!

Let's get a closer look at them!

I used a wide variety of all of the adorable pattern papers and embellishments to create my cards as well as the Petite Prints that coordinate with this collection! Aren't the colors so lovely? I love adding lots of bling to my cards for interest and the beautiful jewels found on the Holly Mini Jewels shine so pretty here!

My pattern papers came from the 6x6 Paper Pad and were the perfect scale for this fun tag featuring the big man himself! I love addition of the lovely silver to this line!

Ribbon and twine are a favorite of mine so I added some pink tulle to the top of this sweet wreath die cut from the Bits and Pieces. Pretty pops of pink are so stunning on this card!

Do you even make a Doodlebug project if you don't add a Doodle Pop or two? I love this sweet little deer found on the "So Endeering" Doodle Pop. This sweet tag also features a sentiment tag from the Chit Chat die cuts.

I have fallen in love with square-shaped cards as of late and this fun card with all of the cute ornaments from the Odds and Ends was a really fun card to put together. Each ornament is decorated with various Sprinkle Shapes from the collection.

This candy cane from the Odds and Ends makes the perfect focal point for this pretty tag. I mounted a tag from the Bits and Pieces onto a larger tag for some interest and then added my embellishments.

The cut-apart 4x4 cards on the Happy Holly Days pattern paper make for great cards! Take this wintery whimsical scene - so fun then you layer on some snowflake die cuts, and a border sticker from the This and That Sticker Sheet - they sure add a fun touch to this card.

In the Chit Chat die cuts there are the cutest postage stamp die cuts that I added as the sentiment to this tag. This tag is actually my favorite because I love the colors and that stunning floral paper is so gorgeous with this grouping of embellishments. Did I also mention I ADORE the bottle brush trees in this collection - absolutely the cutest!!

My last card features a little Christmas Scene with the fireplace, tree, and presents - classic Christmas colors are represented here and a few more shape sprinkles add festive touches.

So that's the project for today! From the playful icons and festive patterns to vibrant colors and charming embellishments, this collection made it so much fun to craft these little works of art. Whether you are tucking them into a gift bag or paring them with a wrapped present, these handmade creations are sure to bring smiles to your loved ones this season! Have a wonderful holiday season and we will see you next time!

HEY PUMPKIN SHAKER TAGS | with Conny

Hey everyone! It's Conny from TheDailyLifeofCreativity with Hey Pumpkin Collection, and I'm excited to share these gorgeous shaker tags with you. I adore creating shaker tags because they're incredibly enjoyable to make and I love how versatile they are – they can effortlessly enhance various projects. I will be adding these tags to my October/Halloween cards or mini albums.
Let's begin! I started by selecting some 12"X12" cardstock. If you prefer to use the 6"X6" paper pad, that would work great too. The smaller images on the paper can be fun to play with when creating shakers using acetate.
I chose the Homespun heavy acetate, as well as the "Boo-tiful Bouquet" paper. I used the floral side with the spiders and the side with the black polka dots. I also used the "Moonlight Magic" paper and "Plaid It's Halloween." For the shakers, I picked the "Peek-a-Boo" paper because I felt like they would stand out more with the acetate, letting the "Halloween Night" and "Sweet Treat" shakers pop.
I usually prefer my tags to be 3"X5". There are many dies available with stitching, and SVGs, or you can even make them yourself. Cutting them is simple. To bind the tags together and turn them into shakers, I used my sewing machine with white thread. I stitched all around, leaving a spot open at the top to add the shakers. After that, I closed the opening using my sewing machine.

I spruced them up with some chit-chat, odds & ends, bits & pieces, and mini icons. I then used a staple to attach the chit-chat pieces to the bottom of the tags and layered the embellishments on top. To finish them off, I added a black tulle bow.
I'd love to see your take on these tags, so be sure to tag us. Wishing you a delightfully spooky time, my little pumpkins!

HAPPY HEALING TAG CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty crew, it's magic May-hem time with Happy Healing! This project is super easy + versatile - are they tags or are they cards? Well, why not have both. It's so simple, yet so clever right. Who doesn't like a two-in-one! As we hit into the fifth month of 2024 it's time to do some more memory keeping and giving and what a great way to do that with a new Doodlebug Design collection. Come check out my latest project! Tags vs Cards!

To replicate these Tags vs Cards, all you do is grab the sweet 6x6" paper pad and choose (tough choice) three papers and fold each width wise. You'll then have a folded 3x6" card. Next snip the top corners and punch a hole in the middle top part of card. Easy! Now you have a Tag vs Card :-)

Once you've made the bases of each Tag vs Card, go wild decorating! As you know, this is my favorite part of crafting - it's when all the foundation pieces are created and it's all ready to decorate to your hearts content. Here I've used the adorable patterned papers that are named (l-r) On the Mend, Love Blooms and Happy Healing.

To help "pop" the icon stickers and ephemera, I always mount a solid matching cardstock on the top of the base patterned paper. It looks easy on the eye and helps show the pieces. I love that each collection comes with a matching textured cardstock pack! The co-ordination is perfection.

To add more cuteness, I've used two little charmers on two of the Tags vs Cards! Did you spot them? Here, let me show you in my video showcase below :-) And whilst you're watching; see if you can spot how I used a round band-aid like a balloon in the cutest balloon bouquet!

Thank you crafty crew for visiting today! I hope I gave you a crafty hit of inspiration! Don't forget to tag us in on your socials - we're looking forward to seeing your next Doodlebug Design project! Until next time; doodle dee!

NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS STAMPED CARDS & TAG | with Stephanie

Hello friends, it’s still December so I’m still Christmas crafting! Today I thought I would practice my coloring on some cute Doodlebug stamped images from Night Before Christmas.  I created two simple cards and a tag pictured below.

For each card I started with a kraft cardstock base cut to regular A2 size.  I wanted some of the kraft color to be visible so I layered two pieces of pattern paper together so there was about a quarter inch of kraft showing on the top and bottom of the card.  The red dot layer was cut to a height of 3 1/2 and width of 5 1/2 inches. The red and white striped layer is 2 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches. The thin strip in the middle is a border cut out piece from the 6x6 paper pad. I die cut a scalloped stitched rectangle for my scene and blended some blue distress inks onto white cardstock for the background. I used a white shimmer spray on my ink background, though it’s hard to see the shimmer in the photo.  I popped the scene layer and my images up on foam squares. I colored my santa and reindeer images with copic markers and then die cut them with the coordinating Doodle Cuts. I added glitter to the trim and pom of Santa's hat. I die cut a small white banner and stamped the Happy Holidays sentiment and adhered it above the scene.

For the tag, I die cut a scalloped stitched circle tag out of white cardstock and ink blended the same blue distress inks for the background.  I cut a small strip of white glitter cardstock to create snow at the bottom of the scene. I colored and cut out a Christmas tree and two presents and adhered those with foam squares. I added glitter to my ornaments. I die cut and stamped my banner sentiment and tied it to the tag with ladybug doodle twine.

The second card is the same style and pattern as the first with a gingerbread theme. These images are from the Visions of Sugarplums set.  Such a cute little gingerbread house! For this scene I added chunky glitter to the chimney, rooftop and steps for a snowy feel and some glossy accents to the windows and some of the candy on the house.

That does it for my project today. The stamped images are all a great size to create small scenes especially for someone (like me) who is a little intimidated by all the amazing coloring artists out there. It was fun watching these adorable images come to life using my markers. Thanks for stopping by today!

NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS TAG BOX | with Traci

Hello sweet friends! Every year I look forward to making my own gift tags for our Christmas presents.  They are small projects, so if I have 10 minutes of crafty time I can make one ... if I have more time, I can make a bunch.  As I make them, I usually save them in a plastic bag until I start wrapping my gifts.  This year, I decided to make a fun little box to keep them in.  Not only will it be practical storage, but it's also so cute I can leave it out during the holidays as part of my decor.

I used a box from Graphic 45 (Kraft Staples Book Box) and covered it with white card stock first.  The stripe from Night Before Christmas is one of my favorite sheets so I added it around the sides of the box.  I added some light die cuts from the Odds & Ends and then I layered the ladybug side of the jolly st. nick pattern with white card stock for the top.

The fun part about this project is adding all of the cute embellishments to the top.  I started with 2 large DoodlePops (6964 tinsel time and 6968 stocking stuffers) and then added bits and pieces from the icon sheet, visions of sugarplums sprinkles, Christmas matte and enamel sprinkles, Christmas wishes shape sprinkles, and Christmas jewel assortment.  The little word stickers are from the This and That sheet.

For the inside, I kept it simple and lined the sides and bottom with pattern paper.  This is actually a two-part project so I hope you'll come back to the blog later this month to see all of the cute tags I make to store inside.   Once I use all the tags on my gifts, I'll fill the box with candy or cards, and then load it up with tags again next year!  I hope this project puts you in a crafty Christmasy mood!   Thanks for stopping by!
