BUNNY HOP ACETATE TREAT BOXES | with Jen

Easter is late this year which gives you plenty of time to make some cute Easter treats! Today I have a pair of fun treat boxes using the Doodlebug Easter Dots Heavyweight Acetate and the Bunny Hop Collection

I used a milk carton treat box die from my stash to cut the boxes from the Easter Dots Acetate. I added some Odds and Ends on two sides to cover up the adhesive used to assemble the boxes.

On the top,  I tied them shut with some Bubblegum and Swimming Pool Chunky Doodle Twine. I added little tent tags to the top using the Bunny Hop 6x6 paper pad and the coordinating Puffy Icons and Mini Icons stickers.

On each box, I used the same Mini Icon as the tiny cut apart on the opposite side of the tag. I also added Puffy Icons to create some dimension.

Now they're all ready for the special little people in my life!

BUNNY HOP EASTER PILLOW TREAT BOXES | with Karen

Well, we may have had our usual March snow storm this last week up here in Calgary, but I am ready for spring. So, if I cannot have green grass and fresh blooms outside, you better believe that I am going to have them on my crafty table!

And what better collection to do that with than the adorable and colourful Bunny Hop! With Easter just around the corner, this is a perfect time to grab this collection again and create something fun and Spring-like. I opted for some pillow boxes from Lori Whitlock to brighten my day.

To make these pillow boxes, I used the 12x12" patterned papers from this collection. I cut them at about 5.5" high so I could get two on each sheet of paper. What is really fun about these pillow boxes is the little peek-a-boo window in the design. The Easter Dots acetate sheets that coordinate with this collection are the perfect way to seal up that window and add a fun design element. I just used a bit of liquid adhesive on the inside to hold it in place.

With the amazing designs and colours, these little boxes didn't need to much embellishment. But I always love adding a little mini jewel here and there for a bit of extra sparkle. I love that they actually play up on this polka dots on the acetate as well!

I am not sure if these are going to be an addition to the Easter table for just a fun little surprise along the way, but in the meantime, they are the fun spring vibe for my crafty space that I was looking for. I hope they bring a smile to your face too! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

TINSEL TIME TREAT BOXES | with Karen

This year, my colleagues and I have been doing a Secret Santa exchange. For 12 days, we are surprising each other with little gifts and ideas to brighten these last days before the main event. It's been a lot of fun, and for this crafty gal, it has given me an excuse to make all sorts of fun crafts. Today, I thought I would share a treat container that I whipped up to hold some of my recipients favourite treats.

All-three-1

Using the adorable Tinsel Time collection, some coordinating textured cardstock and a cut file from the Lori Whitlock shop these little boxes were a treat to make!

  Closeup-1

The striped heavyweight acetate that coordinates with this collection was perfect for the window in the box, adding adorable colour and pattern but also giving a little hint of what might be inside. And did I mention that it is a dream to work with - so easy to cut and nice and thick to give lots of structure to the box.

  Closeup-2

Then I topped off each box with shapes from the Odds and Ends pack and a sentiment from the Chit Chat pack. Everything was the perfect size and came together so nicely - adding some layers and dimensions to the top. Finally, I added a little bit of sparkle with a few Glitter Sprinkles from the Tinsel Time assortment and then I packed them up with treats!

  All-three-2

I really love how these boxes came together and I cannot wait to give them away this week. One will get some chocolates, one will get come cookies and one will get a Doodlebug keychain to celebrate the season! Regardless of what they hold, I hope they are a treat in themselves! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

HEY PUMPKIN COFFIN TREAT BOXES | with Tarrah

When you think of Halloween, do you think of treats or scary things? I have combined both making some coffin treat boxes using the gorgeous Hey Pumpkin collection!

I used a cut file from Lori Whitlock and some beetle black cardstock to create the coffin shaped boxes. They were super easy to put together!

When you take off the lid of the coffin, you get a surprise pop out character! I used vellum folded up to adhere the characters to pop out of the box. I added a witch and spiders, some ghosts and some bats.

For the tops of the boxes I chose some papers from the 6" x 6" paper pad and who can go past the gorgeous Doodle Pops?! I added 3 to the tops of the boxes but then I also added some stickers from the This and That sticker sheet and Doodle twine around them as well.

I also added Shape Sprinkles, Bits and Pieces die-cuts and puffy stickers to decorate them also.

I absolutely love how these turned out! They would make a great gift or table placement for a Halloween party! I hope you give these a go!

HOMETOWN USA TREAT BOXES | with Karen

This new 4th of July collection has been so much fun to create with! It has me vicariously planning parties through all my friends to the south - and I am happy to say that I am not finished yet. I mean, what good would a party be without a treat bag...or box in this case, right?! So today I wanted to feature one of my favourite little treat containers to make for all your special 4th of July celebrations!

All-three-2

Pillow boxes are one of my all time favourite party favours. They hold the perfect amount of treats, are easy to hand out and can be personalized in so many way! For this little set, I actually used Petite Prints as the base box. I just have a template that I use to cut them out on my Cricut, but if you don't, just do a quick search for "pillow box template" and you will find many you can trace and cutout! That's how I used to make them!

Closeup

To embellish them, I just added a 2.5" strip of patterned paper from the collection like a little sleeve that just wraps around. And then I grabbed a little sentiment from the Chit Chat pack that coordinates with this collection.

Shaker

And finally, I topped each one off with a Doodle-pop or Shaker-pop! The amazing dimension on these finishes these pillow boxes off in no time! Fill 'em up with a yummy treat and you are all set to go!

All-three-1

Who wouldn't want to take one of these home from an event or party?! I hope they made you smile! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs 1

Making boxes is something that I really like and even more so if they are celebratory! Today I bring you this great idea with the Hometown USA  collection.

LOTS OF LOVE TREAT BOXES | with Jen

Making little treats for Valentine's Day is one of my favorite things! This year I used the adorable Lots of Love collection to make little candy boxes for my husband and son.

These are matchbox style candy boxes that measure 4" x 6" and are 1 1/4" deep when finished.

They're topped with a cute easel card so they can be displayed for a few days after Valentine's Day.

These are super east to put together and could also be made for birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, or any time you need a simple gift.

Full tutorial on how to make these can be found here.

SNOW MUCH FUN WINTER GIFT BOXES | with Miguel

I have another fun project made with the beautiful Snow much fun collection! Today,  I made some packaging to give some nice gifts with a winter theme, I'm sure you will recognize these products haha.

Whenever I'm in a shop and see cute items, I always relate them to Doodlebug collections.  I decided to create some cute boxes to hold the items, to make them even cuter!

To create my boxes, I used some chipboard, acetate, Odds & Ends, Shaped Sprinkles and a Doodle Pop! Look how beautiful all these products make my creation!

Another product that I love are the puffy icon stickers. You can create such fun scenes with them!

I say goodbye as always, hoping that my work inspires you to create.

SWEET & SPOOKY HAUNTED HOUSE TREAT BOXES | with Lisa

Need a sweet & spooky idea for cute little Halloween gifts? Well I have one for you here...  This week, I created three little boxes that can hold candy or small scrapbooking things that you want to "gift" away.

You can find the cut file for the box in the Silhouette store  I've also linked the SVG below. I cut my three boxes from these patterned papers: Moonlight Magic, Spooky Sprinkles and Sweet it is. Then I folded them into boxes.

For each house, I chose a haunted house from the Odds & Ends, that I adhered directly to the box, using double sided tape.  For the white box, I also added a tree acetate die cut piece. For the second layer, I chose a costumed character, that I adhered using foam squares.
For the third layer, I added pumpkins, using two layers of foam squares, to make it stand out even more and have a cool 3D effect.

I added an acetate spiderweb die-cut piece to each of the boxes and also used acetate ghosts to add to the top of each box.  All of these are from the Odds & Ends.

I love the black enamel dots called An Eye For An Eye. They add life to the little characters' faces. I also added a few small Doodle Pops, Jewels and puffy stickers.

I really like how the boxes turned out and am excited to gift them to someone... ;) Have fun creating scrappy peeps, see you soon...
