SEASIDE SUMMER TROPICAL VACATION LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Summertime in the city is fun, but Summertime at a beach is a dream! The warm weather, and yearning for a vacation had me pull the beautiful Seaside Summer collection to document a memory from one of our tropical vacations with our family.

How cute is this page!?! And it came together so easily, it took -literally- a short time. I simply let the embellishments and papers work their magic here.

I started by trimming my cardstock to 10.5x12 in, then added pieces from the Let's Luau paper to the left and right side of the page. I added the long scalloped sticker to the left of the page. I then added the small stamp seal from the Chit Chat pack and a few extra embellishments to the top edge of this side. The flower Sprinkles bring an extra pop of the tropics to this corner of the page.

I backed the photo with papers from the collection, and set it a bit to the right on the center of the page. Since the sea is to the left of the photo, I decided to extend the water feel by adding a few embellishments to the left of the photo.

I layered lots of embellishments from the collection to the right of the photo. I wanted a large cluster that would hug the right edge of the photo. I started with the tag, then the flowers, and to finish the palm trees in the background. The cluster gave me the perfect spot for a title. Once again, I am using Chit Chat, stickers, and more Doodle Pops to complete the large cluster look on this spread.

I finished my page by adding a few Sprinkles to the page. I just love how it turned out! The beautiful SEASIDE SUMMER collection is sure to bring a taste of paradise to your projects. XO

PETITE PRINTS DISNEY FRAME | with Jen

We are huge Disney fans in my house so when I sat down to create something using the new Petite Prints I knew what I wanted to do!

I've made tons of Disney themed projects over the years but it's not often that you get paper that you can create that feel with that's not specific to Disney. As soon as I saw the Plaid-Polka Dot Petite Prints I knew I needed to create something for our most recent trip to the parks!

I used the Thanks a Bunch Doodle Cuts dies to make about a bazillion flowers using the Beetle Black Plaid-Polka Dot, Candy Stripe-Sprinkles, Lily White Plaid-Polka Dot and the 6x6 Bumblebee Plaid-Polka Dot Petite Prints. For the background I used the Ladybug Plaid-Polka Dot Petite Prints.

On some flowers I added Glitter Sprinkles in Lily White and Bumblebee. I finished it off with a couple of Chit Chat pieces from the Fun at the Park collection. I also added a couple of Lily White Puffy Hearts.

SEASIDE SUMMER - SUMMER LAYOUT | with Lisa

Summer's slowly moving to the end but I'm still super motivated to scrap summer photos, even though I see Halloween stuff everywhere... :)  For this project, I'm using the wonderful Seaside Summer collection and scrapping a photo from three years ago, when I spent time with my friends at the Bahamas.

To start this layout, I went through the papers and chose a the Let's Luau paper with Hibiscus flowers and Island Tropics paper with leaves. I already cut out a ton of shells for a different layout, a few weeks ago, so now I did it again. I fussy cut out a lot of red flowers and green leaves. I wanted to fill the page with them.

After cutting out the flowers, I chose patterned papers and cut out letters to write the word SUMMER. I distressed the edges and adhered them to some vellum. Then I cut them out again, leaving a vellum border and distressing the edges.

I adhered the letters to my white cardstock using thin foam tape and then started adding my flowers. At first, I just placed them everywhere I wanted, to see if I liked it, before adhering them permanently to my page with liquid glue. I gave them some dimension, by pressing the center of the flowers down and by bending the leaves.

Then I chose some Doodle Pops to add to my page. I wanted to use this cocktail glass with the straw... Even though I think it's too detailed in that spot of the page, I couldn't not use it... it was just too perfect with the photo. :)

Then I used some sea animals and the sand castle.

To give the flowers a pop of color, I used enamel dots and jewels to adhere to their centers. To finish the layout, I added watercolor in two places and splattered some paint.

I think the layout turned out fun and cute and colorful. I hope you're inspired to do some fussy cutting, It always pays out in the end... :)  Have a good week, see you!

SEASIDE SUMMER - SUMMER LAYOUT | with Miguel

I want to keep remembering the incredible moments of my summer! Today I have a layout I created with the Seaside Summer Collection and a Summer word cut file from the Silhouette Store. I backed the letters of the file with papers from the Seaside Summer 6x6 pad.

For me, summer is all about color and fun, so I decided to use the striped Beach Blanket Cardstock, which is one of my favorite sheets in the collection. I added the striped paper to a base layer of cardstock, then I added the word with foam tape for dimension.

I decided to use this beautiful sun Doodle Pop to give my layout more fun and a more summery theme.

I'll be back soon with some more fun projects! Thank you for stopping to read today!

SEASIDE SUMMER PARADISE TIMES LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are heading into Fall, but before we completely start our PSL drinking, how about documenting those last Summer memories.   The new Seaside Summer collection is just perfect to recreate and document your stories in style.   Let me show you this page all about  my Goddaughters and their recent vacation stop:

I wanted to create a scene behind the photo.  This adds interest to the layout, plus it frames the photo nicely.

I started by cutting the circle from the 12x12 white cardstock. Using a bit of foam adhesive and papers from the collection, and 6x6 paper pad, I backed the empty space so that it adds dimension to the page.

Once the pictures were set, then it was all about constructing the background of the page.  First, I set some of the palm trees at the sides of the pictures, then added the beach house and lighthouse to the edges of the page.  The new puffy stickers are just perfect to add details in your pages,

I continue with the palm tree, and pulled some Chit Chat pieces to create the title of the page.   A few extra stickers, and ready!

I just love how this turned out, and all the embellishments just made this memory that much more special.  I cannot wait to see what you are creating with the new Seaside Summer collection.  XO

SEASIDE SUMMER CASCADE MINI ALBUM | with Kathy

Seaside summer is such a fun collection... perfect for your summer and vacation scrapbooking.  My husband and I are planning a trip to Florida for our 30th Anniversary next month so I thought it would be fun to make a mini album to document our trip.  I found a  cascade card file in the Silhouette Store that I thought would make a great base for my album... take a peek...

This is such a fun way to display photos... you push up the bottom tag and the pages automatically flip.  Here are some photos of the inside pages... and down below, I have a little video showing how it works.

I used the 6x6 pad to cover my pages.  I like the smaller scale of the prints.  I then decorated with stickers from the Mini Icons, some of the cut-aparts, This & That Stickers and Chit Chat pieces.  The mini icons were the perfect size for this smaller format!

I can't wait to take some photos to fill my mini!  Below is a video which show's the cascade in action.  think it's more fun to see it live!

Have you made any projects using the Seaside Summer Collection?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook & Instagram... we love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

SEASIDE SUMMER ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE LAYOUT | with Traci

Hello friends! I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer!  I just returned from an amazing vacation to Hawaii, and when I saw these pictures I was inspired by the colorful surfboards.  They reminded me of the fantastic stripe pattern (Beach Blanket) in the Seaside Summer collection so that's where I started.

With the stripes as my base, I chose the blue wave (Surf's Up) print (11" x 12") for layering the rest of my layout.  A strip of those smiley sunshines (Plaid It's Summer) (3.25" x 8") was the perfect pop of bright sunny yellow behind my pictures (4" x 3").

The green (Island Tropics) (4" x 3") and cherry (Let's Luau) (4" x 3") patterns also added some color to balance out the yellow.

For embellishments, I used die cuts from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat, and stickers from the This & That 12x12 sheet.  I love the title sticker with the palm tree and colorful letters!
So fun!

Thank you Doodlebug for all of the colorful fun you keep creating!  Seaside Summer will go down as one of my favorites!

SEASIDE SUMMER GOOD TIMES LAYOUT | with Erica

Hello friends Erica here with you today sharing a 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Seaside Summer collection.

This collection is perfect for all your summer adventures! My daughter recently went on a boat trip with her best friend's family and they took so many photos I could not wait to scrap this one!

I used a piece of white cardstock as my base which is my go-to and I trimmed it down and distressed the edges. I used two pattern papers from the Seaside Summer collection to mat the white cardstock.

I took a strip of pattern paper and tore it in half using it as a base to build my layers up on the layout. I adhered it in the middle of the page. I used a few layers of pattern paper to mat the photo and then placed it about an inch in from the left side.

The Good Times chit chat piece is my favorite so I knew I wanted to use it on this layout. I popped it up with doubled up foam adhesive! I pulled out the bits and pieces and added in some of the gorgeous florals and the adorable palm trees!

I love how the palm trees frame my photo! I added a few icon stickers to the left and right of photo and one of the cute house! In the bottom right corner I created a small embellishment cluster using bits and pieces and a banner from the Seaside Summer chit chat pieces.

I love how this turned out and shows off all the pretty florals and colors in this collection!
