LOTS OF LOVE VALENTINE'S CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty crew! Love-ly to see you, I have got another twist on a classic especially for you! Today I have been creating with the Lots of Love collection. Swoon! Let's take a look at my super sweet and easy to re-create greeting cards! Each card has a separate front and back piece which are connected with a mini brad - instead of opening the card to read, you simply slide front and back piece opposite to each other to reveal your handwritten message on the back - pretty fun!

Lots of Love has so many ultra-sweet characters, each one holding the daintiest personality and I want to use all of them on everything this Valentine's Day! Cards are not only kind to gift, they are great elements for your paper crafting too. A scrapbook page, off the page project, presents, bottle of perfume or just because! No reason needed.

See how they slide opening crafty crew? Perfect for hidden journaling as well. I've used a scalloped heart die set from my stash - but do not let that limit you. Try a star set, tag set or even hand cut some circles after tracing around some bowls - limitless! I've used some of the cute icon stickers on both the front and back cardstock pieces from the 6x6" paper pad and the white textured cardstock from the coordinating pack, it's all from the Lots of Love collection!

Don't these look like cookies - straight out of mama's kitchen! Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you've had a crafty hit for today! Don't forget to tag us in on your socials - we're looking forward to seeing your next Doodlebug Design project! Until next time; doodle dee!

LOTS OF LOVE POP UP CARDS | with Kathy

I have always loved creating fun papercrafts for Valentine's Day!  The Lots of Love collection makes it even more fun!  The colors, the critters... all of it... absolutely adorable.  I decided to make a couple of cute interactive pop up cards to send to friends... take a peek...

For each of these cards I used the Blue XOXO side of the Lots of Love double sided cardstock as my background.  I love the subtle pattern, and it looks like the sky!  For my first card I created a fun scene with some Icon Stickers... the cute little mailbox and that mail snail... eek!  When you open the card the adorable little birdie pops up!  The sentiment is from the Chit Chat pieces.

My second card uses my favorite Icon Sticker in the collection, the little bear holding heart balloons.  When you open the card, he floats up from the clouds.  I decorated the background with some clouds from the Odds & Ends and heart sprinkles.  The sentiment was put together using some chit chat pieces.  I love how the "you" is hidden until you open the card!

Since it's much more fun to watch interactive cards in action, I've added a quick video to my YouTube Channel which shows how they work.

Be sure to stop by the blog  this week for more Lots of Love inspiration!  Also if you have created any projects using Doodlebug Lots of Love, be sure to tag us on social media!  We love to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

FRENCH KISS Pop Up Cards | with Kathy

The French Kiss Cut files are so stinking cute... and combined with the French Kiss papers and embellishments, you can't help but make something special!  I used a few of the cut files to create some fun pop up Valentine's cards using the pop-up creator in my Silhouette software.  Take a peek...

When the cards are opened, the designs pop out!  They also fold flat for mailing, so I added designs to the outside as well.

Here are some close-ups of each of the cards...

I love the little hot air balloon!  I thought it went perfectly with the cloud paper from the 6x6 pad!

How cute is that little pug???  And the punny sentiment from the chit chat pieces... they combine to make the most adorable valentine!

I love the little girl with the balloon, she reminds me of my daughter.  In front of the Eiffel tower, she looks so sweet!

Of course, interactive cards are best seen in action so I put together this little video...

I will have a tutorial Thursday this week on my blog here showing how to create these cards in Silhouette.  Have you made any cards or projects using the French Kiss Collection or cut files?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Social media!  We would love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
