GINGERBREAD KISSES DECEMBER DAILY | with Jen

December is always such a busy month. There's always holiday parties, shopping, decorating, and family activities that you one do once a year. I love the idea of a December Daily but I just don't have the time for a detailed one. So today I have a super simple version that anyone can make and use!

The overall folio measures 4 1/2" x 9 1/2" and is 1 1/2" deep. It's made with just cardstock and the Gingerbread kisses patterned papers. This whole project will go together in about an hour. On the front I took one of the images from the Christmas Jammies advent calendar cut aparts and made it into a shaker. I added some wide ribbon from my stash to tie the folio closed.

Inside there are two spots for general pictures. I will go back and add chit chat pieces after I've added my pictures as I go through December.

When fully open we have 24 photo flips on 4 waterfalls for all your December memories. I used the numbers from the advent calendar cut-aparts as tabs on each flip.

You'll have space on both the front and the back for pictures each day, or you could even journal on the back.

I used a mix of the 6x6 papers and the 12x12 papers to mat the different flips.

A video walkthrough and full tutorial can be found here.

Cream & Sugar | Traveller's Notebook with Jennie + Video Tutorial

Hey, there!  Jennie here and I am so excited to share with you how I have set up my single travelers notebook using Doodlebug Designs Cream + Sugar collection.  I love the colors (oh so cute!) and the images (even cuter!) and it's the perfect way to create a cheerful planning space.
I am trying out a single pocket size Travelers Notebook for my main creative planner. I like to plan my memory planning in here and then keep some other fun items in here, as well.  I thought I'd try a single and see how I liked it.
IMG_7798
Where to begin with all that cute?!  How about with the dashboards?  They are inspiring and I think that is key.  Having something that makes you smile and want to open up your planner and that keeps you on track!
IMG_7801
This clear dashboard is durable yet cute thanks to the die cuts!  It definitely makes me want to flip through and see more!
IMG_7802
How about that cluster of die cuts and stickers on soft vellum?  It allows for decoration and distinction in a less harsh way.
IMG_7803
Die cuts are, of course, the star of the show!  Change them out on top based on your mood or what's going on. But, of course, dashboards aren't the only thing here.  We've got clips and cute storage solutions, too.
Want to see how all of this came together?
Check out my video sharing the set up and flip through of my functional + creative travellers notebook!

Stuck On Doodlebug Washi Tape & Storage

This year Doodlebug released 40 new Washi Tapes that you will be stuck on when you get your hands on them. In case you haven't seen them yet, here's some pictures to pin to your wish list pin board.

Now when it comes to embellishing, we at Doodlebug strive to provide a touch of dazzle and delight to any craft project and with our latest release we introduced a handful of new ideas and expanded selections to our already impressive lineup. New to our assortment is the ever-popular Washi Tape in fabulous Doodlebug colors and trendy designs just waiting to stick together your next paper craft.

Among the 40 new Washi Tape designs, 29 of those are the new SKINNY WASHI tapes that are 8mm. The remaining 11 are standard washi tape size of 15mm.

Inspiring Project Ideas
Now are you looking for ideas on how to use these fun Washi Tapes? Then check out our Pinterest Board for inspiration to create your own paper crafting projects. Click here to visit our Washi Tape Pinterest Board.

Did You Know?
Washi tape 和紙which originated in Japan as a masking tape made from washi paper. “Wa” meaning Japanese and “Shi” meaning paper, describe paper made by hand in a traditional manner. Japanese washi tape is most commonly made using bamboo, hemp, rice and wheat. This type of pressure sensitive tape made of a thin and easy to tear paper is often decorate with unique artwork.

Washi tape is not a permanent tape when applied to various surfaces. You can ruffle; crease and layer washi tape to create a variety of finished looks with this fun, versatile and colorful product. Unlike other decorative tapes, washi tape is reusable, biodegradable, tree free and made out of highly renewable resources.

And in the case of Doodlebug, we created a selection in our colors and made sure that our Doodlebug Washi Tape coordinates perfectly with all Doodlebug products from past to present. If you know Doodlebug Design, then you know how important color is to us. We don’t want any product’s lifecycle to end when the collection is sold out and long gone so we have designed these to work with or without it’s coordinating family of product.

We at Doodlebug Design take pride in our daily roles of inspiring creativity; and like you, enjoy the everyday occasions that inspire our own new ideas and projects.

Soup Can Treat Containers

Do you love creative ways to give gifts and treats? If so, then you will love Lori Allred's latest Inspired by Pinterest episode where she shares how simple it can be to recycle your pop-top soup cans into creative new treat containers. Then cover them with the darling Doodlebug Design papers and embellishments from the Home for the Holidays Collection, Happy Harvest Collection and the Halloween Parade Collection. Scroll down to see the video.

If you'd like to see what pins inspired this project, be sure to check out Lori's blog.

(POST FILMING NOTE: Originally Lori recommended E6000 to adhere lid to can, but
later learned it makes the candy taste strange and now she suggest using your
hot glue gun instead and NOT the glue mentioned in the episode.)
