NSD 2020 WINTER WONDERLAND CARDS | with Maryám

Happy International Scrapbooking Day
I'd like to share two cards I created using the Winter Wonderland collection and lots of fun coloring with pencils. There's nothing more relaxing than coloring.

The icons on both the Winter Wonderland and Forest Friends stamp sets are just adorable and perfect for making cards for any occasion.
I hope I've given you some inspiration for whipping up some fun and sweet cards to give away to friends. With everyone going on in the world it's more important than ever to be in touch with those we care about.

Have a super awesome International Scrapbooking day!

DOODLEBUG STAMPS - EASTER CARDS | with Karen

One of the most fun parts about stamping is experimenting and playing around with products and product combinations. Recently, I was thinking about how much I loved the Woodland Friends stamp set and I decided to see if there was a way I could use them in a different way. Given that Easter is around the corner, it seemed fitting to see if the little bunny character could live out his dream of becoming the Easter Bunny. And as we all know, in the world of crafting, anything is possible! Each of these cards features the bunny and tree from the Woodland Friends set. The pink card also features the two adorable little birds. And while the pink card shows that you can make an Easter-themed card without any actual "Easter"-themed stamps, I thought it would be fun to mix in some cute stamps from last year's Hoppy Easter collection. Together the sets are a perfect combination for the season! The designs of each of these cards are simple - a few matted layers of patterned paper from the adorable Hoppy Easter collection and you are all set. Some cute Petite Prints paper was also used just to matte the stamped images. Top them off with some mini doilies and mini paper clips for texture - two products that a card-makers dream - and your cards are all set to send out those you love. And while you are waiting to send them out, they will brighten up your work space and bring a smile to your own face! It's a win-win!
So feel free to mix it up! Have a look through your stamps and see what kind of fun combinations you can come up with! We can't wait to see what you create.
Thanks for stopping by!

DINO-MITE! STAMPED CARD | with Kathy

I don't know exactly what it is about the little dinosaurs in the Dino-Mite! Stamp Set that makes me so happy, but every time I see them I have to smile!  I really couldn't choose which dinosaurs to use for my card, so I figured, why not use them all???  Take a peek...

I embossed the stamped images before coloring... I think it makes the colors pop a bit more.  I created a little scene, lots of layers with foam tape in between to give it more dimension.  The cloud paper in the background is from the Simply Spring 6x6 Pad and the trees, grass and hill were made with paper from the Dot Stripe Petite Prints 6x6 pad. I thought this would make a cute birthday or congratulations card for a little person (or even a big person!)

Have you used any of the Doodlebug Stamp Sets?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram so we can see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

FAR OUT BABY SHOWER GIFT | with Kathy

My friend's daughter is expecting her first child... a little boy!  We are all so excited for them!  When I received the shower invitation and saw that the theme was outer space, I knew I had to use the new So Much Pun - Far Out Stamps to make her something!  I decide to make her a first year mini album, and a little box card featuring some cut files from the So Much Pun Collection.
I started with the So Much Pun Space Ship File which is available in SVG in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop as well as in the Silhouette Store.  I worked with the flat file and transformed it into a box card.
I love this little alien!! I added a piece of transparency to the bubble part of the card to make it more sturdy.  I then added the little star and a speech bubble sentiment.  The card folds flat to fit in an envelope.
For the Album, I started by stamping all of the images from the So Much Pun Far Out Set a few times.  I heat embossed the images, colored them using my Copic Markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies.   For the cover, I created a little space scene with some of these images.
Each page of the album is actually an envelope.  You can slide a photo into the top, making it look similar to an instant photo.  I added some stamped images to each of the pages.
On the back of each album page is a note card to record the baby's monthly statistics.  I created a page for the birth picture, then one for each of the first 12 months.  Here are some close-ups.  I used some coordinating Teensy Type Stickers to add the months.

The Far Out Stamps were really perfect for this project!

I created a Silhouette Cut file for the pages of the album.  You can access it for free on my blog here.  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

GUEST DESIGNER | Wanda Guess

We are thrilled to introduce our special Guest Designer - Wanda Guess and we know you are going to love Wanda's beautiful card creations.
Hi! Wanda here! So excited to be a guest designer for one of my favorite companies! I have been stamping and scrap-booking for 25 years now. My love of card making led me to start my blog ten years ago. I have me so many lovely and talented people through crafting. I love bright colors and embellishments for my projects. My motto is 'more is more' and I enjoy combining colors and textures. My first creative passion is photography. I live in Northern California with my husband and our sweet cat Lucky. I try to do something creative every day! If I'm not making cards, I'm probably on Instagram. Thanks to Doodlebug for this fun opportunity to share with you today.
Recently I received a big ole box of happy from Doodlebug Designs! YIPPEEE! Long one of my very favorite companies. I adore their sweet style and cute images. They always make me smile. (And I totally collect their awesome pins too!) I received this box because Doodlebug recently revamped their clear stamps products and now they have matching dies for all their stamp sets too! I made some projects yesterday and can't wait to share them with you. So cute for Spring and Easter. Lots of bright color and just down right cuteness.
REVIEW: For my review of the stamps - they stamp nicely, straight out of the package. No bare spots or ink blotching. A+ in that regard. When I went to open the dies, much to my excitement, I found out that they are pre cut! AWESOME! You don't have to cut them apart with your snippers! I love that some companies are starting to do this now. It's such a nice touch. So, I definitely recommend the Doodlebug stamps/dies.... And you guys know I'm addicted to their shape Sprinkles already. But we won't go there today.
First up is a bright and colorful Easter Card! The finished card is A2 size with a white card base. I layered a strip of that gorgeous plaid paper on the right side, and then layered more white on top of that piece. Next I stamped and die cut out all those adorable shapes, and colored them with Copic Markers! I used colors to match the patterned paper so it all goes together.
The sentiment was stamped and die cut out with a banner from my stash. I added some flowers and leaves to complete the banner edge!
I die cut a stitched circle out of white and then a larger stitched circle using the grass patterned paper. Then I layered on my bunny, lamb and Easter basket! SO SWEET! I added a few more of the shape sprinkles tiny flowers.

Here are some of my supplies!
Next up is a cheerful all occasion card sure to make someone smile!! The card is an A2 white card base. I layered beautiful golden yellow floral paper to make my bottom layer. I die cut a stitched rectangle from Neenah cardstock. I used the Polka Party Stencil from Taylored Expressions to make a dots background. I faded out the color from the bottom right up to the top left. Just thought it looked happy!!
The 'grass' layer is part of a scalloped rectangle die cut, cut to fit. I used Twisted Citron Distress Ink to color it a bright green.
I stamped and die cut out the bee, the sun and the little girl and colored them with Copic Markers.
Isn't she sweet!? Sending you Sunshine!!
That's it for me today! Wishing you a blessed, happy and creative weekend! See you soon! XOXO

SIMPLY SPRING | Notecard Set with Kathy

Today it seems that all communication is done electronically.  We rely on text, email and social media messages, forgetting how much it means to others when we send a little hand-written note or card, and how much we enjoy receiving them!  I thought it would be fun to create a little set of note cards in a box to give as a gift.  This would make a great present for a mom, friend or teacher...take a peek...
I used a few of  the new Doodlebug Stamp Sets to create the cards.  I kept them pretty simple... just a small 3x3 card with an image and a sweet sentiment, backed with papers from the Simply Spring and Hoppy Easter 6x6 pads.  I even made little coordinating envelopes from the 12 x 12 coordinating papers.  Here are some close-ups of the cards...

To house them I created a little box using Silhouette Model Maker.  I decorated it with some of the flowers from the Garden Flowers Craft Kit, the Spring Fling Odds & Ends and a cute little butterfly from the Little Critters Shaped Sprinkles.
The cards and envelopes fit perfectly!
If you would like to make a set for yourself, I have the Silhouette files for the box and envelope on my blog here.  If you do use the files, be sure to tag Doodlebug on social media, we'd love to see what you make!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

SIMPLY SPRING STAMPS | Card with Kathy

I was so excited when Doodlebug decided to create stamps of their collections!  I love to stamp and color and being able to do this with Doodlebug critters and images.... heaven!  As soon as I got the stamps, I opened them and got to work... who needs clean clothes and dinner... that can all wait!  I made this cute little card using the Simply Spring Oh Boy and Flower Girl sets.

How cute is that little bee from the Oh Boy Set??!!  I added him to a background that I lightly inked along with a few clouds (the clouds are from the Lots O' Luck Rainbows and Unicorns set).  I then made a little meadow of flowers using the individual flower stamps from the Flower Girl Set.  I set them on some papers from the Simply Spring 6x6 pad.  The hello sentiment is from the Oh Boy Set.

Both sets include so many adorable images,  my family may need to do their own laundry and cooking until I can get through them all!  Have you used the new Doodlebug Stamp Sets in any projects?  Make sure to post them and tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram, we would love to see what you've made!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

LOTS O' LUCK - Stamping | with Kay

Hi there! I cannot tell you how excited I was when I found out that Doodlebug Designs was coming out with stamps and dies! To have their adorable designs in stamps that I can color over and over is a dream come true! I am thrilled to be sharing my first cards with their new stamps set Rainbows & Unicorns!
These stamps do have coordinating dies, but at the time I made these cards, they had not shipped yet, so I fussy cut all of the images you see here.
So for my first card, I watercolored a background, and cut it out with a stitched circle die. I mounted that to my card front. The cute images were colored with Copic markers, cut out by hand, and added to the card with foam tape.
I stamped the sentiment underneath, and I added some stickies glitter to the clouds and the unicorn's horn.

For my second card, I blended some Distress ink onto my card front, then speckled with the same color mixed with a little water.  After this dried I stamped the sentiment with black ink. All of the images were colored with Copic markers, cut out by hand, and added to the card with foam tape.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today! I am so looking forward to sharing more cards made with all the new Doodlebug Designs stamps and dies! They are so fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
