I decided to make these for some of my new co-workers, I know they will get a kick out of them!

About the tree..

There are many things about Christmas I love but something about a real tree really warms my heart. Makes it sing, do a lil jig and dance too! I dunno about you but having a real Christmas tree in our home really makes it seem like its real! Every year we go and cut one down at a local tree farm. Its a lot of fun to go and find the perfect tree! It's a tradition!

This week I created a layout for Doodlebug Designs using their new North Pole Christmas Collection.

Hey there Elizabeth here to talk about the 3x3's!

All I can say it total cuteness! Aren't these adorable cards just the cutest thing! The first thing that came to mind for me is that I could make a bunch of them and stick them in Alyssa's lunch bag every morning for her! They are small enough and easy enough to pump out a bunch of them so I can have them ready for just that!  I really loved the different shapes they came in and the cute coordinating envelope is just darling too! Here's what I created using them:

You can even use these for Valentine's Day cards for your children's school this up and coming year! They were so fun to create with!!!

Gift Box + Card

I always try to come up with something fun and unique for mother's day. Mothers always appreciate all the effort that goes into a handmade gift. I found these fantastic heart shaped box magnets at the craft store and thought they would be so fun to decorate and fill with little notes from the grandchildren. I decorated them using the Hello Spring line because I always think of spring when I think of mother's day! I know my mom is going to love them!

I knew I wanted to make a girly layout using the snips & snails collection. I love that the collection, which is geared for a baby boy, is very versatile and playful. Here's some quick tips about the layout I create:
-- I brushed on some white paint and dropped white ink and blue paint splatters. This allowed an area for journaling as well.
-- I placed pieces of doodle twine to masking tape to make fringe.
-- I cut smaller circles and leaves from patterned paper in collection to help doll up the layout.
-- Fancy Frills loop cardstock sticker mimics the curls of a rope.
