PETITE PRINTS FATHER'S DAY SURPRISE | with Miguel

I love to mix different Doodlebug Collections!  It can be fun and very interesting, here are the results of this fun mixing!

I made a box with a transparency cover to hold a nice surprise for dad.  I used the Swiss Dot Rainbow Petite Prints to decorate the base of the box in darker colors which were appropriate for the project. I die cut pieces and arranged them along the sides of the box.

The lid is made with acetate or PVC mica as it is known in Mexico. I used this so that you could see the gift inside the box. I love how the shirt and the design match the color scheme of the project. Cute, don't you think?

The box top is adorned with a odds & ends from the French Kiss Collection. I also used other materials such as Fancy Frills in Bon Bon and some Doodlebug Washi Tape in Gray.

I placed the phrase happy Father’s Day with some My Type Alphas in Lily White and I loved the result! I think it is and easily customized project that you could use for any celebration.

Thank you for reading and I hope my idea will fill you with a lot of inspiration, see you soon!!!

PATRIOTIC DAILY DOODLE PLANNER | with Anabelle

The Fourth of July is almost here and my red Daily Doodle Planner is ready to go! I knew I wanted to dress her up for the holiday and decided to create a patriotic swag for my front cover, along with decorating my insert. I love how I was able to mix and match items to do this. Here's how it turned out.

To make the swag, I started with the denim paper from the Down on the Farm collection. It was perfect for my 'Americana' theme. I added a small white doily to the pocket and decorated it with some Fancy Frills stickers, star clips and Abigail font stickers. I folded over a red doily and adhered the pocket to this. Now I could easily attach it to the front elastic.

You could add a small spot of velcro to hold it on, though I didn't do that and it stayed put just fine.

Next, I created a couple of little flags to tuck into the pocket. I cut the papers (also from Down on the Farm) and adhered them to toothpicks. Then, I punched the flowers and folded them for texture. Adding twine to them gives even more texture and color. I added the star shaped sprinkles and added them to the pocket using a bit of tape. Looking at them reminds me of kids waving flags at the Fourth of July parade!
To create the coordinating insert, I adhered the gingham paper, along with some pom pom trim, to my insert. I added another doily, this time I simply adhered it to the insert cover. I decorated another pocket and finished off with the punched flowers. I love how it looks inside my planner!
As you can see, I was able to create a patriotic look for my Daily Doodle without using a single piece of themed paper! That's what I love about these collections. There are so many neutral elements that can be mixed, matched and turned into what you want them to be.

Hope you have an awesome Fourth of July! Thanks for stopping by!

#Selfie Layout | with Anita

Today I’m sharing a layout of me as I love taking selfies using Snapchat and sending them to my kids just to make them laugh..

I started with my white cardstock and
went with a pink and yellow colour palette for my layout using stripes at the top
and adding stickers and a diecut to embellish.

Next I added a title using the diecuts from the Chit Chat pack

Then I gathered leftover bits of patterned papers and started layering them underneath my photo.
I added flowers, stickers and diecuts around my photo.
