LOTS OF LOVE LAYOUT | with Lisa

We're almost back to Valentine's Day, so it's time to get those pink and red collections out of your drawers! :) This week I'm using Lots of Love for this cute Love layout.

I love to fussy cut things out of paper, so I decided to go with the Forever Flowers paper and relax a bit while cutting out a lot of little flowers. My idea was to create a heart with them.

At first, I wanted the heart to be straight and be in the center of the page but when I put my photo on top, I changed my mind and placed everything the way you see it on the page now.

When I had everything where I wanted it, I adhered my photo to a piece of white card stock and then to a piece of the Forever Flowers paper. I distressed the edges and laid the photo on the page without adhering it.

Then I started to place all of my little flowers, creating the shape of a heart.  I tried to keep the same distance between the left edge of the heart and the edge of the paper, as the right edge of the photo and the right edge of the paper. I love my things to be balanced... :)

I adhered the photo first, and then all of the flowers. I bent all of the flowers in the center to create dimension. Then I added tiny enamel hearts and jewels from the collection in the small gaps in between the flowers.

I just love how it looks!  It really turned out very cute. To give the layout more color,  I cut out 4 strips of paper from the Sprinkled with Love  paper to create a frame. I also used a fine black pen to add a scribbly line all around.

To finish, I added a title, three ladybug Doodle Pops and some gold splatters.

See you soon and happy Valentine's Day :)

HELLO AGAIN JUST BE YOU LAYOUT | with Lisa

If you've read my last blog post, you already know how much I love the Hello Again Collection. The gold details everywhere, the colors, the flowers... are just stunning! This week, I decided to go crazy with fussy cutting again... haha :)

There's this gorgeous Flutterby washi tape included in the collection. I was really in the mood to fussy cut them out and use a lot of them on a layout. So to start, I adhered a few strips of washi tape onto white printer paper and then I fussy cut out the butterflies.

For my background, I used the brightside striped paper. I cut out two stripes of each color, tore off the ends of each stripe, creating strips of different sizes. I also distressed them. Then I adhered them to my white cardstock, always placing the two stripes of the same color next to each other and leaving a white space between the colors.

I used my sewing machine to stitch a gold zig-zag line through the middle of each color. Then I splattered some gold and white paint all over the layout. I used a photo of myself and used a few pieces from the rest of the brightside paper to matte it. I then adhered it to the layout using foam tape.

As a title, I used one of the die cuts from the Chit Chat pack and I backed it with the black floral side of the cute calico paper, from the 6x6 paper pad. I adhered it using foam dots.
To embellish the layout, I used three Doodle-Pops and Shaker-Pops that represent things that I love. I placed them in a visual triangle.

Then I went ahead and adhered all my little butterflies. I only added a tiny bit of glue in the center of each butterfly to make sure the wings could be bent upwards and give all the butterflies a dimensional look.  I hope you're inspired to use the Flutterby washi tape too, haha... fussy cutting is a super amazing way to relax... just so you know... ;) See you soon,

PUMPKIN SPICE AUTUMN DAY LAYOUT | with Lisa

Okay... So summer's officially over and I need to turn the page... which is always super hard for me... :) I LOVE summer!!! Here in Luxembourg, fall is not always super beautiful, it's not the warm orange and yellow kinda fall, it's the grey, cloudy and cold kinda fall. But I'll light some candles on those rainy days and I'll be fine. At least the scrapbooking collections are pretty. Here's my first layout with the Pumpkin Spice Collection.

I did it again! I chose a patterned paper and started cutting out all the little designs. This time, it was leaves. So after cutting them out, I needed to decide on a design for my page. I decided to go with this plus sign shape. I matted my photo with two patterned papers, adhered it to the background, then started placing my leaves on top and bottom and on the sides of the photo. I also chose three Doodle Pops that I placed between all the leaves.

I then gave the leaves some dimension by pressing the centers down with my fingers and adhered them to the paper using liquid glue. I used watercolors and added some yellow in some places between the leaves. Then I went through the Odds & Ends die cuts and chose leaves, ladybugs, acorns, pinecones, mushrooms, birds...

I added the leaves using foam squares and adhered them to the page using some tangled thread underneath. I also adhered the other die cuts with foam squares to make them stand out.

At the end, I added watercolor splatters in teal and orange and enamel dots and jewels. For my title, I chose two words from the Chit Chat die cuts.

I hope you like the fall vibes and are ready for Fall photoshoots and scrapbooking.  See you soon!

SEASIDE SUMMER - SUMMER LAYOUT | with Lisa

Summer's slowly moving to the end but I'm still super motivated to scrap summer photos, even though I see Halloween stuff everywhere... :)  For this project, I'm using the wonderful Seaside Summer collection and scrapping a photo from three years ago, when I spent time with my friends at the Bahamas.

To start this layout, I went through the papers and chose a the Let's Luau paper with Hibiscus flowers and Island Tropics paper with leaves. I already cut out a ton of shells for a different layout, a few weeks ago, so now I did it again. I fussy cut out a lot of red flowers and green leaves. I wanted to fill the page with them.

After cutting out the flowers, I chose patterned papers and cut out letters to write the word SUMMER. I distressed the edges and adhered them to some vellum. Then I cut them out again, leaving a vellum border and distressing the edges.

I adhered the letters to my white cardstock using thin foam tape and then started adding my flowers. At first, I just placed them everywhere I wanted, to see if I liked it, before adhering them permanently to my page with liquid glue. I gave them some dimension, by pressing the center of the flowers down and by bending the leaves.

Then I chose some Doodle Pops to add to my page. I wanted to use this cocktail glass with the straw... Even though I think it's too detailed in that spot of the page, I couldn't not use it... it was just too perfect with the photo. :)

Then I used some sea animals and the sand castle.

To give the flowers a pop of color, I used enamel dots and jewels to adhere to their centers. To finish the layout, I added watercolor in two places and splattered some paint.

I think the layout turned out fun and cute and colorful. I hope you're inspired to do some fussy cutting, It always pays out in the end... :)  Have a good week, see you!

SEASIDE SUMMER BEACH FUN LAYOUT | with Nathalie

There is nothing more relaxing that a beach vacation.   The sea, the salty air, the beautiful landscape, the food;  but all these are better enjoyed when you are there with your loved ones.   The new Seaside Summer collection is just so colorful, cute, and perfect to document all those memories of your vacation.   Let me show you my first project with the collection.

I just love the wave design in the Surf's Up paper.  So, I fussy cut a few strips to create my "wave" design on the page.

Since the picture showcases my family at the shore, I wanted to find a way to define the water space.  The best option, to use  white cardstock as the "land" for my page.   So, I trimmed the page to 11x11 and attached it to Beach Blvd. paper.

And to construct the sky, I used a stencil and some ink to add a few clouds to the top right corner of the page.   The Sun Doodle Pop was just perfect for this corner of the page.  Just added a few clouds and ready to go!

Next was all about creating my "waves".   I glued the fussy cut paper strips to cover the bottom of the page.   There are so many cute embellishments, that I wanted to just bring some of them to the page, and added a small sea scene next to the title.  To finish, I just added a few splatters of white ink and more colorful sprinkles.

How cute are all those embellishments!  and perfect to bring life to your beach memories.  I hope this inspires you to document your sea adventures using the new SEASIDE SUMMER collection.  Cannot wait to see what you create!  XO

FAIRY GARDEN MY GIRL LAYOUT | with Nathalie

I am sure you all are trying your best to not hoard all the beautiful pieces from the Fairy Garden collection.    I am failing at it cause it is just too cute!  Look what I created with it.

I love how this turned out, and make it totally worth the time it took to fussy cut all the flowers from Fairy Floral paper.

I started by creating heart from pink cardstock.  Then attached just a piece of it to the b side of the Fairy Dust paper.  Then it was all about scattering the fussy cut florals.

I used pieces from the 6x6 paper pad to back my picture then added just a few  stickers, and the Bug Babies Doodle Pops. Just love the little critters.

To finish my page, I used pieces from Chit Chat and My Type alpha to create the title. I will be adding the journal lines under it later on.

I love how this  page turned out, and I hope you do too! Remember to share your projects with us, too. We love seeing what you create!  XO

HIPPITY HOPPITY EASTER EGGS LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Raise your hands if you are ready for Spring!   Well, the new Hippity Hoppity collection brings enough Spring feelings in its color and designs that it is so easy to document all Spring and Easter memories, specially those chocolate eggs my teens are so fond of!

As soon as I saw the Easter Egg Stripe paper, the idea of paper piecing the eggs came to mind.   A pair of sharp scissors, a hand drawn template, embroidery floss, and some cheesy movie on Netflix was the perfect date night.

After all the fussy cutting and hand stitching, I went ahead and added three smaller eggs.  These are made from the 6x6 paper pad. With all the color and texture in these, I opted for a Petite Print for the background, and just a few embellishments for the pictures.

I cannot get enough of these chicks!  I just love them!   They were just perfect to emphasize the title of the page, and bring the page together.

I cannot wait to see all your Spring and Easter memories recorded with the gorgeous Hippity Hoppity collection, you are going to love  the results!  XO
