Hello Lovely Layout + Process Video | with Anita

"Blue and Green should never be seen unless there's a colour in-between" is an old saying we would hear from time to time... but that was long before the Hello collection was created.  I really loved the use of navy within this range but instead of pairing it with the pinks or turquoise I decided to be a little bold and go for the lime and I really love how it turned out.
I started with the navy stripe patterned paper and cut the center out of the middle with my paper trimmer. Then I trimmed my cardstock down and layered it onto the patterned paper before adding two of the lime doilies in the corners.  I then machine stitched the border of the white card as a finishing touch.
I backed my black and white photo with more of the navy stripe patterned paper
then layered more patterned paper behind until I had the desired look.  I also cut the center out of a sticker and added it behind my layers.

I then created a little ruffled border using a border sticker and a strip of patterned paper and crepe paper before adding it to the bottom of my photo along with some die-cuts, sprinkles and sequins.

Then I added my title using a word die-cut from the Chit Chat pack
and a word sticker from the This and That sticker sheet.

I hope you enjoy the process video I created:

Cut Files | Two New Releases

Introducing:
Digital Cut Files

FIRST SNOW LAYOUT | BY TRACI PENROD
using
Frosty Friends Digital Cut Files

It doesn't snow every year in Georgia, but when it does, it's a big deal.  And seeing snow for the first time ever, is a really big deal!!!
I created this layout of my granddaughter and loved using the Frosty Friends cut files to bring the page to life.  I created the title on my own using Lori Whitlock's Everyday font and Doodlebug's Snowflake from the Here Comes Santa files.

I layered the pieces with foam tape and a little bit of Doodlebug's sugar coated glitter, used paper and sprinkles from the Polar Pals collection, and tucked a little journaling tag behind the adorable penguin.

WINTER YUM LAYOUT | BY KAREN HANSON
using
Polar Pals digital Cut Files

Working with cut files can be so much fun!  I love that you can adjust sizes and put shapes together in new ways.  The Snowflake and Snowflake 2 cut files were the inspiration for this layout.

I adjusted the sizes of the four different shapes and then welded them together for a large die cut that became the background for the layout.  I added some Petite Print paper behind some of the snowflakes for a bit of interest on the textured cardstock background and then finished it off by using the Winter title file and adding some glitter for a bit of winter sparkle.  It's winter yummy indeed!

Fairy Tales Collection: Birthday Celebration Layouts by Mendi Yoshikawa

Doodlebug Design Fairy Tales Birthday Scrapbook Pages for Girls by Mendi Yoshikawa
Hello Doodlebugs!  It's Mendi here today with a set of girly birthday layouts using my newest favorite:  Fairy Tales!  It epitomizes everything I adore about Doodlebug and fulfills all my childhood fantasies in one happy collection.  I have several birthdays for my daughter that I never got around to putting into albums so I decided to spend my weekend scrapbooking not one, but three fun pages.

Up first is a layout based on a sketch with a polka-dot border down the left-hand side.  I love the pops of color against the white and how they work to frame some of the adorable images and sprinkle shapes from the collection.  I cut apart the word birthday from the odds & ends set and popped it up using foam tape for some extra dimension.  I love the bit of shadow the extra height creates!

For my next layout I wanted to use all the adorable banners and balloons from the odds & ends set to create a happy balloon bouquet.

After my balloons were adhered to my page, I used some solid white doodle twine from a twine assortment pack with a big needle and a paper piercer to stitch my twine around each of the balloons (taping the extra to the back of my page).  It was so much easier than trying to tie them around each one and I love how much the little detail adds!  When I was done I tied the loose hanging strings with a spare piece of twine to secure them together and glued the knot to my page with some liquid adhesive, hiding it all with a ribbon bow.

For my last page I wanted to create a border of sorts between my photos using the adorable stickers and die-cuts from the collection.  My only regret is I ran out of space to include even more cuteness!

I paired the celebrate die-cut from the collection with the word "friends" which I cut out on my Silhouette using THIS cutting file.  I adore mixing fonts and a sans serif font always looks awesome with scripty fonts like the ones in this collection.

If you're like me and have several birthdays that never got put into albums, why not print those photos and get them scrapped with this adorable collection?   I swear you'll be transported right back to the 80's with all these yummy rainbows and unicorns!  ;)

PageMaps Layouts by Wendy and Shellye

Have you not been loving the fun takes on the PageMap sketches? Because we're hooked and cannot wait to create more. Don't forget to pin our project to Pinterest if you like them!

These Cute Brothers

I was so excited to use one of Becky's sketches for my layout.  I just love using sketches as a starting point for my projects.  I wanted to scrap these older photos of my little boys.  I thought it would be fun to look at the archived sketches for the month the photos were taken (June 2009) and I was excited to find a sketch that worked perectly for the photos I already had printed!

Supplies:  Take Note (icon cardstock stickers, fancy frills stickers, this & that stickers, stick to it paper, totally paper, expressions paper, count on it paper, jewels, 4x6 album inserts) colored pencils doodle pops, lily white teensy type stickers, lily white jack & jill stickers)
