SIMPLY SPRING Stamped Layout | with Tegan

Since Doodlebug Design released their adorable stamp sets, stamping on my layouts has been my new favorite technique. I had so much fun creating this colorful stamped rainbow to coordinate with the Simply Spring collection! The mix of flowers, cute insects, and spring colors in this collection make me so happy! Bring on spring!

Creating the rainbow was not only fun, but super easy! I used the Doodlebug Design Rainbow with Clouds cut file to first cut out all the arches of the rainbow from scrap paper. I then lined them up on my layout and traced each arch with a pencil. I then used the small flower from the Simply Spring Flower Girl Stamp set to stamp inside the arches. I gently erased the pencil lines when I was done.

All of the stamps in this stamp set are so very cute! I can't wait to use more of the images from this set. Once my rainbow was colored in, I embellished the page with an Odds & Ends cloud shape and sun shaped Doodle Pop.

I used fun pieces from the Odds & Ends pack, the Chit Chat pack, and Lilac Abigail Alphabet stickers to make the title. Of course I had to use some Bubblegum Doodle Twine as the string for my banner.

I finished the page with this adorable girl Odds & Ends die cut and May Flowers Doodle Pops. A lady bug from the Little Critters Sprinkles is taking a stroll in the girl's garden.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to get creative with Doodlebug Design stamps on your next layout or project!

Christmas Town - Santa Socks Layout | with Melinda

Take one packet of Odds & Ends die-cut pieces and whip up a collage style Christmas tree to act as the backdrop for your festive photos. There are so many wonderful icons to choose from and they work perfectly alongside the Chit Chat die-cut pieces too.
By adding foam pop dots behind all the die-cuts and photos it creates dimensional interest. And to soften the edges around the Christmas tree shape I added a few white ink splatters.

I created the title using the word 'Santa' from the Chit Chat die-cut pack and then added the word 'socks' using the 'Skinny' alpha stickers. I also added a wee heart sprinkle in red to tie the two word together.

With only a couple more days until Christmas, make sure you have all your camera equipment charged and ready to go as we quite often get so busy on the day that we tend to forget all about the photos.

Christmas Town Advent Calendar | with Jennifer

Hello Doodlebug friends. Are you ready for Christmas? Well, today I have an advent calendar to share that will hopefully make the wait to the big day a bit more fun. This project features the Christmas Town collection, that is so, so cute. I especially love the Kraft paper addition to some of the papers. The paper color inspired the gingerbread styled house I created with the DB cutting file.
The house was made from layers of foam board. Chipboard was used for the details like the windows, door frame and door. I added some simple shaped trees in the background and some colorful Christmas trees on either side of the house.

The frame that holds the advent boxes is a refurbished piece. It originally had small doors with magnets, but most of them were missing or broken. So I decided to remove all the doors, give the frame a fresh coat of paint and make chipboard boxes to fit inside each slot.
Using the "Festive Flurry" page from the 6x6 paper pad and some coordinating papers from the collection, I was able to get most of the boxes done. Since box 24 and 25 were larger I used some cardstock and a few die-cuts to complete the countdown.
I simply adore the little blue bird sticker and found the perfect spot for her at the side of the house.

Both the round and snowflake sprinkles add more color, dimension and shine to the piece, which I love.
To give the wreath a more realistic look, I cut it out 4 times. I then layered the pieces together and scrunched it up a little, before adding the bow.
The Santa die-cut was mounted to chipboard then a few Doodlepop stickers were added for some more dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your "Countdown to Christmas" is a stress free one! :)

Christmas Town Layout | with Nicole

Hi there Doodlebug fans! Nicole back on the blog again to celebrate the holidays using the new Christmas Town collection!
I have this thing with patterned paper, I really hate to not use a lot of patterns, so this time, I punched several circles from various papers in the collection in several sizes and built my own tree on one side of the page.
I used foam adhesive to pop all those circle up and add lots of dimension. The variety of circles adds some visual interest and makes the tree very whimsical too! Next, I added in several stickers and bling to parts of the tree for a little holiday sparkle!
I couldn't resist adding in the fun Doodlepop Santa Claus and some Odds & Ends diecuts to the bottom area of my photo. The perfect touch to finish off the page.
I hope you are inspired to mix and match patterns from this great holiday collection.

Christmas Town Layout | with Caroli

Hi there peeps! It's finally that time of the year when we are free to scrap Christmas memories without looking too early or impatient, yay! Today I want to share this layout I made using the beautiful Christmas Town collection, one of my fave collections by Doodlebug so far.
When I saw this collection I just fell in love with all the kraft details, especially in the Odds&Ends and Chit Chat packages, so I decided to make a layout using kraft cardstock as base.
I used a photo of my annual Christmas party with friends, I have been throwing this party for 4 years now and every year it gets better and better, I'm really looking forward for this year edition.

I must admit I went a bit crazy with embellishments in this layout. I created some kind frame all around the page using lots of diecuts, sprinkles and stickers.
I adhered the diecuts trying to fill as much space as possible, and also used some foam dots to add different levels and volume to my page.
I created my title by cutting one word in my electronic cutting machine using free font "Sacramento", and completed it writing the second word with Tiny Typo stickers in red color.

I loved the result of all those embellies together. Actually, I feel that everything looked so perfect that I was kind of ruining my page by putting a photo, LOL!
I hope you liked this way of organizing the page, I think it's a great way to use a good amount of stuff and display it beautifully.
Have a lovely day!

Odds & Ends Challenge: Spring Wall Hanging by Traci Penrod

Happy Thursday everyone!  It's Traci, and I'm back to share my project using the adorable Odds and Ends die cuts from the Doodlebug Spring Things collection.
This is one of my all-time favorite die cut collections because of the flowers and cute little critters.  I wanted some thing I could hang on my wall for a fun pop of color in my craft room.  I didn't have a 12x12 frame, so the Doodlebug clipart board worked perfectly!
My inspiration started with this piece of 6x6 paper from the Spring Things 6x6 paper pad.  I used my circle cutter to cut out the circle, and then adhered it to the center of my white card stock.
Then I used a plate to draw another circle for my odds and ends.   I laid all of the pieces around the circle to determine placement before I adhered them.  I love how the acetate pieces look popped up and overlapping other solid pieces.
And here is my granddaughter again ... get ready, you are going to be seeing a lot more of her in future.  She is almost 10 months old and has completely stolen my heart!
I finished the piece by adding just a few sprinkles around the page, and backing the white card stock with a piece of dolphin textured card stock I hope my project has inspired you to have lots of fun with Doodlebug's Odds and Ends!  Happy crafting!
