FUN AT THE PARK MEMORABELIA POCKETS | with Conny

Hey crafty friends, today, I'm thrilled to share a guide on creating four adorable pockets with the fantastic Fun at the Park collection. This project requires paper from the collection, scissors, and a trim board. I've chosen four 12x12 papers, and you'll need to trim two inches off one side to create a pieces measuring 12X10 inches. To craft the pocket, start by scoring a 3" x 7.5" section on the 10-inch side and a 3" x 10" section on the longest side, which is 12" in total. Then, remove the corners at the scored lines. If you need visual guidance, check the accompanying photo.  For the pocket's longest flap (3 inches), you have the option to round the corners. For the bottom flap, which measures 2 inches, you can miter and round the corners. Feel free to refer to the accompanying photo for further visual assistance.
To create the closure, I cut two circles with a 1.5" diameter for each pocket with a Circle punch. After,  with my Crop-A-Dile tool, I punched a hole in the middle of each 1.5-inch circle. Additionally, on the pocket flap at 2 1/4", I located the midpoint before adhering the pocket together. For the top circle, I inserted a standard eyelet and attached a string at the top.

I decorated my pockets with an assortment of odds & ends, colorful stickers, and unique pieces from the collection.

These pockets can be used to hold all your photos and memorabilia from the park! We appreciate your visit! Wishing you a fantastic day! Xo, Conny!

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS BIRTHDAY PHOTO GLOBE | with Conny

Hey Crafty Friends,  It's Conny here and today we are focusing on Shakers and DIY Snow Globes. For my project, I used the Bunny Hop Collection and focused on the florals and one of my favorite photos of Savanna. Her birthday is coming I wanted to make her something special.

Let's get started! First, I printed a 4" x 6" photo. Then, I traced a circle on the photo using the Snow Globe backing, trimmed it using scissors, and added florals from the bits and pieces.  Some of the florals were glued directly to the background, while others were placed on foam double-sided adhesive to play with layers since the Snow Globes have room for dimension. Next, I added the "Hello" and "You're so sweet," from the Chit Chat Pieces  along with some Hello Spring Shape Sprinkles and that adorable Springtime Peeps Doodle-Pop! Inside the globe, I added Tangerine Shakers along with some Spring Flower Shakers. On the outside of the globe, I added florals on one side and Mini Jewels -  on the other side with the title "JUST FOR YOU!

We're super excited to see what wonderful creations you make with our Snow Globe Kit and Shakers. We just know they will be amazing and we can't wait to marvel at your creativity!
XO, Conny!

PETITE PRINTS BOOKMARKS | with Niella

Hello crafty crew! I am super excited you've popped into the blog today - let's have some creative fun by bookmarking this simple project because you'll want to create these! They are so purposeful you won't stop at creating one and will want to create a whole set :-)

This is the perfect time to bust out your Doodle Cuts Die collection. Here I've used 6 different sets, but don't let that limit you to what you can achieve!

Starting with the new and versatile Petite Prints patterned papers, I've selected several colours and cut them into different size flags. Adhere the top only onto white cardstock to have a single layered bookmark flag - this will be where you can slide the page between!

Next, secure together with a straight stitched line (or use your wet adhesive) so that the page doesn't go higher than your set embellishments.

Now for the extra fun part; make your embellishments or use some of your Doodle-Pops (yes, I know how hard they are to actually use, ha!) I've created my embellishments using Doodle Cuts because they mix in so well with this project ;-) Now, slip into your current book! I've used several Flag Bookmarks, one in my favourite cookbook and journal and even planner!

They look super adorable all stacked up! You could even go a step further and label the bookmarks with alphabet stickers saying Cook, Read, Write and To Do. Fabulous, right!

Have fun experimenting and remember to tag us in on all your Socials, we adore all your Doodlebug projects! Until next time, doodle-doo!

DOGGONE CUTE STAR EMBELLISHMENTS | with Niella

Hey there crafty crew! Thanks for visiting today! I'm here to showcase some of the cutest star embellishments using the totally RUFF-able Doggone Cute collection! It is everything furry friendly and lovable.

Each of these stars is 5 inches and the inner star is 4.5 inches, so you can recreate these with a star die or template of a different shape. How about circles or a rectangle with the top sides trimmed to look like a wee dog kennel. You could even do tags!

I grabbed my stash of Chunky Twine and with several lengths I've coiled them and glued them down with tacky glue. Once dry you simply start to decorate to your hearts desire. The extra texture from the twine gives each ornament depth and interest.

For the clustered accents, I've used the Icon stickers from the collection and adhered each sticker by backing onto a self adhesive foam square. Using foam makes sure the accents "pop" out or stay evenly on the twine.

There are so many fun and bold colours in this collection so to keep it fun I used the patterned papers from both the 12x12 individual papers and also the 6x6 paper pad. Aww, look at all those sweet puppy love faces.

I've also added the cute speech bubbles from the Chit Chat ephemera pack and the wee stickers from the Mini Icon sheet! Fur baby lovin'!

For extra details, I've used some Shape Sprinkles - I'm going crazy over the cuteness of the bath time star embellishment, how cute is that rubber duckie as well! .

Ideas for these stars are as gift tags, accents on your greeting cards or memory keeping like travel notebooks or scrapbooking. Or making some for your crafty stash for gifts or 3D projects. Simply add pop dots and stick!

So go on and make your doggone happy + fun star embellishments and don't forget to share and tag us on your socials so we can marvel at your creative talents! Stay PAW-some y'all and until next time; doodle-doo!

HIPPITY HOPPITY CARROT TREAT HOLDERS | with Wanda

Hi Doodlebug friends! Wanda here on the blog today to share some cute Easter carrots I made with the Hippity Hoppity Collection! Just in time for some Spring and Easter crafting. These fun paper carrots would be great at each place setting for your table, or little gifts for friends and co-workers. They are super easy to make and fun too! I filled my treat carrots with chocolate eggs and can't wait to give them away! CLICK HERE for the simple directions to make the shape/template. This would also be a really fun project to do with the kids!

I used orange and green papers from the Doodlebug Floral Graph 6x6 Paper Pad and the Swiss Dot 6x6 Paper Pad. I used a carrot die cut from another company to make the greens on top. I glued the greens inside before I sealed up the top end of the carrots.

I used pieces from the Hippity Hoppity Collection Chit Chat pack to decorate the front of the carrots. I used some Chunky Twine, Bunny Sprinkles, and small green clothespins to add at the top for more decorations.

50

I added stickers to the front and a few mini jewels too, for a little bit of shine!

50

I used my paper crimper to crimp the top and bottom of the carrots and add a decorative element. Crimping also secures the tape holding them together. Here is the carrot in my hand to show you the size and scale. I used the full 6x6 sheet of paper for each one.

Here's a close up of the top portion!

If you don't want to put them at each place on the table, I think they would be cute in a basket with some Easter grass as a cute decoration.

Wishing you a happy Spring and a happy Easter! I will see you back here soon, but until then, happy crafting!

CUTE & CRAFTY SHAKER CARDS | with Lisa

Yay for shaker cards!!!   Haha... I love shaker pockets and cards, don't you? For this project I decided to create three shaker cards, using a the Cute & Crafty Jars of Sprinkles cut file.

To start, I went through the new Cute & Crafty cut files and found this cute Jar of Sprinkles file. Since the jars are filled with glitter and sequins in reality, I thought it would be a cool idea to use those for my shaker cards and fill them too.
I cut all the pieces out, using different Doodlebug colored cardstock sheets. I cut out the container part twice; once like it was originally, the second one, I changed a bit, letting the machine cut out the inner part, so that I would have a window to back with acetate.

I adhered all of the pieces together after adding some ink around the edges, then I added some highlights with a white jelly pen.   I backed the "open" jar with a piece of acetate and then I put dimensional foam tape around all the edges.   To fill the little jar, I used three different "Sugar Coating" glitters and sequins. Then I added the "filled" jar on top, to close the shaker pocket.

For my card bases, I used three patterned papers from the collection, that had a white background. I cut them 8x8inches and folded them in the middle, to create an 8x4 card. I put some ink around the borders to create a frame and then adhered the little jars on top.   As a sentiment, I used three banners included in the "Chit Chat" die cuts. To finish the cards, I added two buttons to the top of each jar.

I think the cards turned out super cute and they can be used for every occasion.

Thank you so much for stopping by...

CUTE & CRAFTY TREAT PILLOW BOXES | with Karen

I don't know about you, but I love to snack when I am crafting. I have learnt what works with my clumsy nature (I cannot tell how many projects I have ruined with a split drink) so little bite sized morsels of goodness that I can pop in my mouth are usually my go-to. Now, I don't often have people over to craft, but the new Cute & Crafty Collection has me thinking about all my crafty friends. And here's the deal, if you were to come over, I would definitely share my snacks! In fact, I would even make you some cute pillow boxes to hold the snacks - because the only thing better than crafty snacks are crafty snacks wrapped in Doodlebug goodness!

All-three-1

To create these pillow boxes, I simply used one sheet of 12x12 paper from the Cute & Crafty Collection, flipping over one to get a different pattern and then using the left over 6" to create 3 - 2" sleeves.

Close-up-1

Then I grabbed my new favourite product - Bits and Pieces - to create a few layered flowers and a little tab on one side of the sleeve for embellishment. This product makes projects as easy as can be - no special tools or cutting machines needed to create great visual focal points on your projects that can be layered to your heart's content.

Close-up-2

I finished them off with a few Mini Rainbow Heart Sprinkles, a cute button and some Doodle Twine for some added texture. Then I filled them up with treats (and ate a few) and they were all set to go!

All-three-2

So I guess the only question I have left to ask is - who is coming over to craft with me?  Thanks for stopping by!

FAIRY GARDEN FAIRY HOUSE | with Miguel

This month has flown by!  I back again to with a new project and I am very excited to show it to you. If you remember that in my last post, I made a magic diary.  I decided I needed a very special place to keep it, so I made a Magic Fairy House!

The idea for my fairy house was  spinning inside my head a few days ago and it took me some time and dedication to realize it!

My Fairy House is an altered box.  For the upper part, I created  a beautiful garden with the Fairy Garden Collection. The project has different materials and effects such as lights, sound and movement. Isn't it lovely?

I started with a Mushroom cut file from the Silhouette Store.  I then let my imagination loose!  Inside the mushroom, I put a rotating mechanism with lights.

On the outside of the mushroom, I used all the embellishments from the Fairy Garden Collection to create this magical garden, also place a musical button to add more sweetness! Now my diary  has a special place to protect it!

I say goodbye as always thanking you for reading me and remembering that everything we imagine can be achieved!
