BUTTERFLY KISSES THE GOOD LIFE LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I'm so in love with the new Butterfly Kisses collection! I was so inspired while making this new layout and I can't wait to create with it again. Here's my page:

The color palette and all of the adorable icons in this collection deserve all of the heart eyes! I knew right away that I wanted to make a rainbow type layout with the embellishments that would be tone on tone. I used a piece of white cardstock as my base and prepped it with some clear gesso. I then took the Rainbow's End 12x12 patterned paper and tore into it. I planned on adding some mixed media using the striped colors as a guide for each of my colors. I used my Distress Ink pads to watercolor on each color and love how it turned out.

When I received the collection, I took one look at the coordinating Flower Garden Doodle Cuts set and knew that I would find some way to incorporate some of those florals onto a layout. So I took the 12x12 Coordinating Cardstock pack and pulled out the colors that matched that striped paper. I die cut several of the florals using each of the cardstock papers and then to add some interest, I rubbed on some white gelato pen and then drew some highlights using a white gel pen. I adhered them along the torn edge of the striped paper, right where it met the watercolor background.

For my title, I used a few phrases from the Chit Chat pack and adhered them right under my photos. I even included one of the banner pieces from that pack as well. Next, I pulled out the Ladybug Garden Doodle-Pop and adhered it right under my title. I think it was the perfect spot for it!

Next, I continued to embellish tone on tone by pulling some of the butterflies from the Bits & Pieces pack, the 6x12 Icons stickers and the Puffy Icons sheet. I adhered them directly onto the stripes from the Rainbow's End paper. I also added in some of the Hello Again Sprinkles onto those die cut florals and then sprinkled in some tiny hearts from the Puffy Words pack.

Here's one last look at this page. I really love all of the texture and layers on this layout!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. I'll see you in my next post friends!

BUNNY HOP HAPPY EASTER LAYOUT | with Tarrah

There is just something about Easter that I love so much, I think it must be the adorable bunnies and I mean who doesn't love the yummy chocolate eggs right!? The Bunny Hop collection is absolute cuteness overload and it is the perfect collection to document this gorgeous photo of my niece!

I picked a cut file from the Bunny Hop collection called Bunny Girl and cut out all the different pieces from different colored cardstock in the Bunny Hop coordinating cardstock pack. Once all the pieces were cut, I loved piecing the bunny girl together and love how she turned out!

I adhered her flat and slightly to the left to another sheet of white cardstock that I trimmed down so that I could add a colored paper from the Bunny Hop collection as a frame behind the white cardstock. Once the large Bunny Girl was placed I adhered my photo to the right of the cut file and began to build a sort of garden using embellishments.

On the hair bow I wanted to add something else, so I added a flower cluster die-cut and I also placed my title across the dress on the cut file. I LOVE Doodle-pops and used a few on this layout including the sun above the photo and the adorable chickens in the garden.

I used lots of die-cuts from the Bits and Pieces and Odds and Ends packs as the base for the garden and then layered some stickers over the top to add a little bit of dimension and texture. I love how this enhances some of the flowers on the layout a bit more. I also added the green border sticker from the This and That sticker sheet to the very bottom to replicate the look of grass.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have the Bunny Hop collection and can get some Easter memories documented using it! We would love to see what you create! Happy creating!

BUNNY HOP BUNNY EGGS TRADITION LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are  so close to celebrating Easter, so no better time to pull out the beautiful Bunny Hop collection to document some past Easter memories.   If you have grown kids, then you know that  Easter chocolate egg hunts are a thing of the past, or in our case a tradition that has evolved to just giving my adult children small boxed of  chocolate eggs.   So. I pulled one of the photos for this layout.

I have to say that it was fun to put this together using the collection.  I wanted something that could use the photo and the title in one page.

I  selected one of the coordinating Petite Prints for the layout's base, then cut a 7.5" square from the Spot of Spring, and glued it to center of the base, then trimmed a 2.5" strip and glued it at the center of the page to help me ground everything in place.

I used papers from the 6x6 paper pad to back my photo and placed on the top right corner of the diamond.  I added a few Bits and Pieces, stickers and Sprinkles to create the cluster behind the top right corner of the photo.

It was all about the title for this layout.  So, once I set the Chit Chat in place, I added a few extra eggs and some of those cute little bunnies.

To finish my page, I added a few extra eggs and another cute bunny plus a few Sprinkles to help define the shape in the background,

I hope this inspires you to pull your BUNNY HOP collection and  get crafty with it! I cannot wait to see what you will create! XO

BUNNY HOP EASTER EGG CARTON ALBUM | with Traci

Hi everyone! Traci here and today, I'm sharing a new shaped mini album I made with the adorable Bunny Hop Collection and the Egg Carton cutting file. It's such a cute keepsake for your Easter photos and a great gift idea for someone special. Wouldn't this be a fun surprise tucked in an Easter basket?! 🐰🩷🧺

To make this, I started with the album's covers. I used my Silhouette machine to size the file to 6.75" x 4.75". I cut the shapes out of white acrylic, but you could also make them out of card stock or chipboard instead. Then, I covered the acrylic with pistachio Petite Prints in dot & stripe, plaid & polka dot, and solid.

Next, I cut the eggs out of colorful 6x6 prints and added the bunny and chick mini icon stickers, flower die cuts from the Bits & Pieces, and the title from the Chit Chat. I 🩷 the bunny in her pink dress and bow!

On the inside, I cut 6 card stock pages to 6.5" x 3.5", giving me 12 total scrapbook pages to decorate. I covered each one in 12x12 and 6x6 pattern papers. Above, I created a fold-out page for extra photo space. On the front, I added the 3x4 card from the Chickadees print and inside ... more die cut pieces, the sun mini icon sticker, space for 2 photos, AND a print filled with bunny shaped Easter peeps!!

This next page is covered in the 6x6 paper titled Bunny Hop. It's one of my favorites with its sweet images of chocolate bunnies, chicks, flowers, carrot cars, houses, and Easter baskets. The die cut is from the Chit Chat.

Here's another fold-out page. I covered the front in the pretty pattern paper titled May Flowers, then added die cuts from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat. And, inside the fold out ...

... a sunny yellow plaid print called Spot of Spring, more Odds & Ends die cuts, and space for 2 photos.

Time for a pocket page! I embellished the front with the This & That scalloped border sticker and a pretty bouquet of flowers from the Bit & Pieces. I added some Hello Spring enamel shape sprinkles on top for a little shine, then added a few 3x4 cards for journaling / photo mats.

This cheerful paper collection is perfect for highlighting pictures of family, friends, Easter baskets, coloring eggs, a church event, Sunday brunch, holiday decorations, an egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Speaking of the Easter Bunny, this Hippity Hoppity paper above is great! Their little faces are so funny!

In this photo, I added the pink side of the 12x12 May Flowers paper, the green Spring Sprouts paper, and the colorful floral side of the same May Flowers pattern, but ... in the 6x6 size! I love every layer.

I hope the Bunny Hop Collection and my fun mini album give you lots of happy holiday vibes! Easter is just around the corner (April 20th) and this project would be wonderful tucked inside a gift basket, or ... displayed in your home filled with memories. Happy crafting! 😊

BUNNY HOP HELLO SPRING LAYOUT | with Erica

Hi crafty friends! Erica here, and I’m so excited to be back on the Doodlebug Design blog today sharing a bright and happy spring layout using the absolutely adorable Bunny Hop collection! This 12x12 layout is bursting with color, florals, and all the playful charm we love from Doodlebug.

For this layout, I started with a brand new cut file from my shop called Hello Spring. I love the wreath shape and playful lettering, and it was the perfect base for showcasing all the spring colors. I backed all the open spaces of the cut file using a mix of papers from the 6x6 paper pad and some of the 12x12 coordinating Petite Prints papers. I also added foam adhesive behind the cut file to give it dimension and lift off the page.

Next, I created the base of the layout by trimming down a piece of white cardstock to 11½ x 11½ inches. I matted that onto coordinating Doodlebug Design cardstock and then layered the whole thing on top of the May Flowers 12x12 patterned paper from the Bunny Hop collection, this added the perfect pop of floral around the edge.

Once my base was set, I adhered the cut file right in the center of the page. I had two sweet black and white photos that I matted with more pattern paper and tucked right above the word “spring” in the cut file. Then came the fun part, embellishing! I kept it light around the photos, adding a few pieces from the Odds & Ends pack along with some Icons and Mini Icon Stickers. I also tucked in a tab above one of the photos and added a word sticker from the 12x12 Bunny Hop sticker sheet.

To finish the layout, I went in with a ton of Doodlebug Design Sprinkles! I love the color and texture the sprinkles add to the page! This layout is such a happy celebration of spring, bright colors, sweet details, and that classic Doodlebug cuteness! If you’d like to grab the Hello Spring cut file, you can find it linked below.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope this inspires you to get crafty with the Bunny Hop
collection!

BUNNY HOP HAPPY EASTER LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I'm so happy to share a layout featuring the Bunny Hop collection. This is one of my favorite collections and I couldn't wait to work with it again. The colors and the adorable icons are absolutely perfect. Especially for this time of year. Here's my layout:

I really wanted to have a soft pink base for my layout so I chose the Blush cardstock from the 12x12 Coordinating Cardstock pack.  I trimmed down a few strips of paper using the Everything Easter, Bunny Hop and Spring Sprouts patterned papers. I stacked and adhered them together and had the vertical strips more towards the right side of the layout. The horizontal strips would become a base for the little scene I wanted to make. But before I got to work on that, I tied some of the white Doodle Twine across the vertical strips.

Since I chose the grass patterned paper (Spring Sprouts) it was the perfect foundation for the little scene  I built using the Bits & Pieces and Odds & Ends packs. I layered the floral pieces in the background and then added the bunny piece and Easter basket right on top, making sure to pop both up on foam tape. I also sprinkled in a few of the eggs from the Puffy Icon Stickers. They're so cute!

Next, I matted my photos using the 6x6 Paper Pad and arranged them in the corner where all of the paper layers intersected. It was the perfect spot for them. I layered a notebook paper piece from the Bits & Pieces pack underneath them and then added my journaling to it. My photos are of a little photo shoot I did of my Annie girl last year. I can't believe how much she's changed this past year!!

I added that adorable hot air balloon that was from the Odds & Ends pack and popped it up on foam tape. I found the "Happy Easter" banner in the Chit Chat pack and decided it would be the perfect title for this layout. And what a great place to put it!!

To finish things, I sprinkled a few of the small flowers from the Puffy Stickers pack around the page and then included a few of the cute eggs from the Colored Eggs Shape Sprinkles pack. I love how this page turned out and hope that you love it too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. I'll see you in my next post friends!

OVER THE RAINBOW SO HAPPY LAYOUT | with Tarrah

The Over the Rainbow collection is perfect for documenting how lucky and blessed I feel every day with this amazing man by my side! I chose to create a horizontal design, adhering lots of different patterned papers from the Over the Rainbow collection to a plain sheet of white cardstock.

I love all the clover and rainbow icons in this collection and my favorite out of everything? Definitely the colors! I mean the colors just scream happy right? I placed my photo to the top of the papers and arranged my title to the left of the photo, I adhered my title using craft foam to create some dimension on my page.

When I print my photos, I always include a white border and on this layout, I also matted another paper behind the photo to help it pop off the page. For me, the photo is always the main focus on my layouts. I tucked in a blue tag and a heart tab to the right of the photo too. If you know me, you know I LOVE color and I LOVE hearts!!

I placed some die-cut embellishments using craft foam on top of the patterned papers, choosing some border ones from the Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces packs. I also added some puffy sprinkle stickers to enhance some of the icons even more and create an extra layer.

My title was chosen from the Chit Chat pack and I also took some of the This and That stickers and placed these around the page to also help tell the story. Lastly I stamped the date stamp from when the photo as taken and I am happy to have another special memory documented to look back on in years to come.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Doodlebug blog today! I hope you get inspiration from visiting us here and we would love to see what you create! Tag Doodlebug on all the socials so we can see what you're creating!  Happy creating!
