HEY PUMPKIN SHAKER TAGS | with Conny

Hey everyone! It's Conny from TheDailyLifeofCreativity with Hey Pumpkin Collection, and I'm excited to share these gorgeous shaker tags with you. I adore creating shaker tags because they're incredibly enjoyable to make and I love how versatile they are – they can effortlessly enhance various projects. I will be adding these tags to my October/Halloween cards or mini albums.
Let's begin! I started by selecting some 12"X12" cardstock. If you prefer to use the 6"X6" paper pad, that would work great too. The smaller images on the paper can be fun to play with when creating shakers using acetate.
I chose the Homespun heavy acetate, as well as the "Boo-tiful Bouquet" paper. I used the floral side with the spiders and the side with the black polka dots. I also used the "Moonlight Magic" paper and "Plaid It's Halloween." For the shakers, I picked the "Peek-a-Boo" paper because I felt like they would stand out more with the acetate, letting the "Halloween Night" and "Sweet Treat" shakers pop.
I usually prefer my tags to be 3"X5". There are many dies available with stitching, and SVGs, or you can even make them yourself. Cutting them is simple. To bind the tags together and turn them into shakers, I used my sewing machine with white thread. I stitched all around, leaving a spot open at the top to add the shakers. After that, I closed the opening using my sewing machine.

I spruced them up with some chit-chat, odds & ends, bits & pieces, and mini icons. I then used a staple to attach the chit-chat pieces to the bottom of the tags and layered the embellishments on top. To finish them off, I added a black tulle bow.
I'd love to see your take on these tags, so be sure to tag us. Wishing you a delightfully spooky time, my little pumpkins!

HEY PUMPKIN LIL' PUMPKIN LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and as we are quickly closing up the Summer season... Spooky season is upon us!! The new Hey Pumpkin collection is adorable and I have so many pumpkin photos to go with it! Here's my page:

To start, I chose the Jolly Jack-O-Lanterns 12x12 paper as my base and then grabbed the citrus green cardstock from the coordinating cardstock pack and trimmed it down to an 11x11. I wanted a bit more patterned paper so I pulled the Hey Pumpkin paper, trimmed it down to a 10x10 and stacked that on top. I wanted to do some ink blending, so I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to a 9x9 size and adhered it to all of the paper layers. Using some Distress Oxide Inks in coordinating colors, I did some simple ink blending right in the center of my page. I also added in a few large white ink splatters as well.

The Halloween Night Shakers bottle is ADORABLE and I needed to use it on this page. I took one of the circle elements from the Bits & Pieces pack and punched a hole right in the center. I adhered a piece of clear acetate to the backside of it and then applied some thin foam strips around the permitter. I poured in the Shakers mix and sealed the shaker using a piece of vellum. It turned out so cute!!

Next, I went through the Doodle-Pops and chose the Pumpkin Patch one and adhered it to the bottom right of my photo. I had already matted my photo using one of the 6x6 patterned papers. I also tucked in one of the phrase flags from the Chit Chat pack into the Doodle-Pop.

To match my shaker, I needed a few more circular elements so I pulled one from the Bits and Pieces pack and another from the 12x12 Cardstock Sticker sheet. I added in a few of the Puffy Icons stickers and it all looks so cute layered up together like that!

Next, I started sprinkling in a few more smaller pieces for extra color and interest into each cluster. I pulled in more Puffy Icons, a few Cardstock Stickers, one of the cute pumpkins from the Hey Pumpkin Shape Sprinkles and some florals from the Odds & Ends Pack.

Here's one last look at this cute page:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, hope that I've inspired you in some way! Y'all have to add this adorable collection to your stash! It's just too cute!

HOMETOWN USA SUMMER RECIPE BOOK | with Jen

Summer is coming and I have a fun summer project for you today! Cooking in the summer tends to be a very last minute thing in our house. I often don't want to turn on the stove so I opt for simpler meals that can be grilled or eaten cold. What better way to document and organize some of those recipes than in a Doodlebug recipe book?

I used the adorable Home Sweet Home chipboard album to create a summer recipe book. I made the front cover into a shaker with the Doodlebug heave acetate because I was so excited to used the new Land That I Love Shakers!

On the front I used elements from the Hometown USA Chit Chat and a couple of Icon stickers.

For the doorway I took a scrap of the acetate, scored it with a 1/4" gusset. I attached this at the bottom of the doorway before adding my larger piece of acetate over the windows. I then added two layers or foam tape to build my shaker.

On the pages inside I added an assortment of low effort summer recipes. I used the Hometown USA mini icons to decorate and I ended up using almost all of them!

On the back of the album I added the picnic sticker from the This and That sticker sheet and some ants from the puffy icons.

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS - SHAKER EMBELLISHMENTS | with Jen

I'm sure by now you have all figured out how much I love to make shakers! Whether I'm using them on a card, layout, or mini album I just love the interactive element they add. Today I have three shakers I made using the Doodlebug SVG files available in Lori Whitlock's shop. I used files from three different collections. I have a full recorded tutorial on how to manipulate the files in Cricut Design Space linked below.

First up is a fairly simple shaker using the Rainbow with Clouds from the Fairy Garden Collection. For this shaker I just used the cloud pieces for the shaker and filled them with Lily White Shaker Balls. This is a very basic shaker and not hard to make.

For my second shaker I stepped it up a bit and used the Winter Mountains from the Snow Much Fun Collection. For this shaker I used the main mountains to make to separate shakers and then layered them together to complete the overall shaker. I used the Ice Crystals and Flurry Shakers to fill. This is a very dimensional piece and would be great in a mini album.

And my last shaker I used the Cola image from Hello Again. For this shaker I made mini shakers out of some of the ice cubes inside the larger cola shaker. This one was a little bit trickier with the ice cube shakers inside, and the gap at the top of the cup between the lid and the "cola". The finished product is really fun and would be great as a card or on a layout.

Full video tutorial can be found here.  Thanks for stopping by!

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS RAINBOW GIFT SET | with Tya

Hi there crafty friends! It was so much fun getting to play with the brand-new D.I.Y Snow Globes this month! I don't know about you, but it has been a little dreary in my neck of the woods and I knew I wanted to brighten things up so I used the super bright and happy "Over the Rainbow" collection and a few Doodle Pops from the "Bunny Hop" collection to create this fun little gift ensemble which includes a snow globe, a cute shaker lid container, and a whimsical Tag Flip!

To make the Snow Globe, I used the 6x6 Rainbow Wishes paper with the cloud background and layered up some Odds and Ends, and the cute "Hello Sunshine" Doodle Pop to make a little sky scene. I added some of the "Gnome Sweet Gnome" 6x6 paper and traced the base of the Snow Globe onto it. I then added it to my Snow Globe base and decorated that section with a cloud, a button tied with some yellow twine, and some cute yellow pom-pom trim to finish it up.

I used the Cupcake, Bubblegum, Ladybug, Tangerine, Bumblebee, Limeade, and Swimming Pool Shaker Balls to fill up the Snow Globe. Aren't they so much fun?

Next, I created this cute little container with a shaker lid! Believe it or not, this is made from a small Pringles Can and a 3-inch plastic ornament half to make the shaker lid. I fell in love with this little technique and can see myself making oodles of these! They are the perfect way to showcase all of my favorite Doodle Pops! They are so fun to fill up too!

To cover my Pringles can, I used a 4 1/2 x 10-inch strip of Over the Rainbow Stripe paper. I then added two of the decorative border strips from the Lucky Me paper. I added the "It's a Rainbow Kind of Day" die cut to the front of the can with some foam tape. I also added some cute yellow pom-pom trim to the top of the border strip along the bottom of the can. Cute colors abound here!

To make the lid, I added some lightweight chipboard strips behind the clouds on the "Hello Sunshine" Doodle Pop. This made it fit well in the dome. I added a 3-inch cardstock circle on top of the plastic lid and then glued the Doodle Pop down with hot glue. I added the Shaker Balls to the dome and then centered the dome on top of the lid. The dome is held onto the top of the lid with hot glue. This is so fun to shake up!

On the inside of the container, I did a quick little tag flip and featured some of my favorite pieces of the "Over the Rainbow" collection. It fit perfectly, ribbons and all, inside the container!

As you can see, the first tag on the page is a shaker tag that was decorated with some pattern papers, and acetate. The shaker balls were a great interactive element for the cover tag on this little flip!

Here are the tags I did! Lots of layering of 6x6 papers, Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, and Puffy Stickers!

Getting to play with the Snow Globe and Shaker Balls was such a delight and I am thrilled with how this little set turned out. I plan on giving it to a cute niece of mine to brighten her day! Thank you so much for spending a little time here on the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you have the best day and we will see you all next time! Happy Crafting Friends!
