CUTE & CRAFTY CREATE MEMORIES LAYOUT | with Erica

Do you like to create layouts using 3 or more photos? Today I am sharing a 12x12 scrapbook layout using 5 photos and the Cute and Crafty collection.

I took some selfies on Valentine's Day using a snapchat filter and wanted to document them! I was crafting in my craft room and feeling grateful to have a nice space to craft! I love that there is plenty of room for my kids to come in and get cozy on the love seat and chat or sit across from me at my desk!

For my design I started by laying out my photos on a piece of white textured cardstock. I ended up going with a horizontal design. I trimmed off two strips from the Craft in Color 12x12 pattern paper and glued down to the left and right of the page. Next I adhered my photos to the page staggering them just a bit.

I pulled out two title pieces from the Cute and Crafty chit chat pieces and placed one at the top of my photos and one at the bottom. I used bits and pieces die cut flowers to embellish around the four corners of my photos popping some of them up on foam adhesive.

I pulled out the odds & ends and the mini icon stickers to add some of the cute icons around the page! To finish off my page I added some sprinkles from the bright assortment pack and then added my typed out journaling!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout and are inspired to create with 3 or more photos! You can check out my process video HERE on my YouTube channel! Have a great day!

GREAT OUTDOORS PILLOW BOXES | with Karen

It is a bit of a dreary time up here in Calgary right now. The snow has melted and everything is looking a wee bit brown (and will be for awhile yet). So I decided it was time to pull out some fun Doodlebug colour that would fill me up with the amazing colours that will be coming my way outdoors in the months to come!

All-3-2

The Great Outdoors collection was one of the releases in the fall that I absolutely adore and it seemed like the the perfect fit for my winter blues. I decided to use it for some fun pillow boxes that I could use for some treats...because if I needed a little pick-me-up, I figured that there are probably some other people in my life that could use them too.

Bear

I topped off the pillow boxes with some of the adorable die cuts from the Odds and Ends pack. This has always been one of my favourite Doodlebug product.

  Beaver

Odds and Ends make crafting a breeze - the cuts are perfect for layering and they are always o-so cute!

Owl

Then, for just a bit more texture and some sparkle, I added a few mini jewels - another favourite Doodlebug product of mine. Whether I am making cards or crafts like these pillow boxes, the mini jewels are a product I always reach for!

All-3-2

These little treat boxes were the perfect pick-me-up for today. I think I might be reaching for this collection a few more times in the coming months!  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

LOTS OF LOVE VALENTINE'S HEART BOXES | with Wanda

Hi Doodlebug Friends! Happy Valentine's Day! It's Wanda here to share some sweet Valentines with you - made with the beautiful Lots of Love Collection! I have absolutely loved making projects all month with this collection. It's definitely one of my all time favorites from Doodlebug! For today's Valentines I went with a traditional pink and red color palette, and of course, hearts! I created some heart shaped boxes out of Doodlebug Textured Cardstock and Gingham, and then decorated them with all the elements from Lots of Love! The heart boxes are filled with candies for the special ones in my life!

I created the boxes out of red and pink Doodlebug Textured Cardstock. I used 12x12 Gingham for the pink hearts on the top of the boxes. There are so many ways to use the Lots of Love elements. I chose to do a 'sweet' one and a 'floral' one!

I used Bits & Pieces, Chit Chat, and Odds & Ends for my embellishments! Here I chose all the little sweet treats. SOOO CUTE! I layered them together and then added a banner and some tiny hearts.

For this one, I chose the love you heart with flowers, and then added more flowers and leaves! Oh, and more tiny hearts!

Here are the opened up boxes. I filled them with Hershey's Kisses - a traditional treat!

The Doodlebug Textured Cardstock is the perfect weight for making 3D projects. It folds so nicely and gives a perfect look!

I am sending you happy hugs and wishing you a fun Valentine's Day! I'll be back with another project soon! Until then, happy crafting! XO
