SEASIDE SUMMER GOOD TIMES LAYOUT | with Erica

Hello friends Erica here with you today sharing a 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Seaside Summer collection.

This collection is perfect for all your summer adventures! My daughter recently went on a boat trip with her best friend's family and they took so many photos I could not wait to scrap this one!

I used a piece of white cardstock as my base which is my go-to and I trimmed it down and distressed the edges. I used two pattern papers from the Seaside Summer collection to mat the white cardstock.

I took a strip of pattern paper and tore it in half using it as a base to build my layers up on the layout. I adhered it in the middle of the page. I used a few layers of pattern paper to mat the photo and then placed it about an inch in from the left side.

The Good Times chit chat piece is my favorite so I knew I wanted to use it on this layout. I popped it up with doubled up foam adhesive! I pulled out the bits and pieces and added in some of the gorgeous florals and the adorable palm trees!

I love how the palm trees frame my photo! I added a few icon stickers to the left and right of photo and one of the cute house! In the bottom right corner I created a small embellishment cluster using bits and pieces and a banner from the Seaside Summer chit chat pieces.

I love how this turned out and shows off all the pretty florals and colors in this collection!

SEASIDE SUMMER MINI ALBUM CARD | with Karen

Recently, I was browsing online for crafty inspiration and I came across mini album. While I am not typically a mini-album maker, there was something fun about the multiple pages that got me wondering how I could incorporate that idea into a card (because really, the more pages I have, the more fun Doodlebug product I can use)!

First-Photo

So I decided to try my hand at a little summer themed birthday card using the adorable Seaside Summer collection. This collection is filled with the most amazing patterned paper that was perfect for a multipage project. Oh, and I had to feature my favourite character from this collection on the front - Pockets the pelican (what do you think of the name I chose?).

Each additional page in the card featured some of the Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces die cuts that I used to create some little scenes...

...and a sentiment to pull the card together.

On the last page, I left a little section that I can use to write a personalized note. The whole things was embellished with some mini jewels, a couple of mini paper clips and tied up with some fun Doodle Twine.

End-photo-2

Fold it up into my trusty A2 card size so it can fit nicely in an envelope and it is ready to gift to someone special! Let me just say that after the fun I had creating each of the pages, this is not the last time that I am going to be making cards with multiple pages! I hope you love it too.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,

SEASIDE SUMMER BEACH HOUSE CARD | with Wanda

Greetings from the beach - Doodlebug Beach! It's Wanda, back with another fun project made with the new Seaside Summer Collection! Today I made a Beach House card. One of my favorite elements from this collection is the beach houses, so I made them the feature of my card. This finished card is a kraft base, folded into a 5x7 horizontal card. I layered 12x12 Seaside Summer patterned paper, and then a white layer. Then I had a good time adding all those pieces: houses, palm trees, a surfboard and of course a crab having a margarita!!

All the houses were attached to the card with foam tape. I placed the palms behind the houses to frame them. I added a Chit Chat element for my sentiment. I added white gel pen accents onto the die cuts.

The most fun part of this card was adding the different accents! I used Sprinkles in green, the crab is a Doodle Pop, he's holding a margarita from another Sprinkles pack... I added some hearts and the surfboard sticker. It's so fun to customize it and make it your own. I just truly love all these delicious happy colors together.

Cheers to the rest of Summer! We'd better enjoy it because September will be here soon!!

That's it for me today! I don't scrapbook too much so I usually make cards and other projects. However, I think this would make a super cute scrapbook layout across the bottom of a page - all the beach houses all lined up? What do you think? Happy crafting until I see you again soon!
