Petite Prints Challenge: Typewriter Layout by Mendi

Hi there!  It's Mendi here today with a layout using two new favorites of mine; the newest Petite Prints and the amazing new cutting files now being offered in the Silhouette store and in the Lori Whitlock shop.

As soon as I saw this adorable typewriter I knew it would look amazing super-sized as the focal point of a scrapbook page.  This is a great way to scrapbook a story if you don't have a photo to go along with it since the "paper" portion works so well for lengthy journaling.

I cut the title using a true type font on my computer (cutting one from the 6x6 swiss dot petite prints pad and another to offset from black cardstock).  I must gush and say how much I love the new 6x6 pads and petite prints in general.  I know they will remain my go to papers.  I love how you can mix and match them to create endless color combos to match so many different themes and moods.

I finished off my page with some of my favorite Doodlebug buttons, sprinkles and tiny type stickers for the typewriter keys.  This layout was seriously so much fun to create and came together quickly.  I hope I've inspired you to "go big" with some of the new Doodlebug cutting files.  :)

Petite Prints Challenge: Grandbaby & Gingham by Traci Penrod

Hi everyone, it's Traci.   I'm back to share a project I created about my granddaughter using Doodlebug's newest petite prints.  Did you know they now have a 6x6 paper pad for these awesome collections?  I'm so excited about the 6x6 versions for cards, scrapbooking, mini albums, and projects like this one!
My first grandchild was born just a month ago, and for those of you who know I have two sons, you can imagine my excitement for getting to play with some pink for a change!
I used my Silhouette machine to cut a white 8x8 card stock to fit in my Doodlebug frame.  I offset my boxes with lines that resemble stitching, and used the print & cut feature to create my background.
And those flowers?  Doodlebug cut files!!!!  Brand new and available in the Silhouette online shop here!  They look super cute cut from the 6x6 gingham and linen prints!
I hope you'll check out the new gingham-linen petite prints!  We'd love to see your projects posted over on the Doodlebug Facebook page, and share them with me at Artsy Albums too! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Petite Prints Challenge: Happy Birthday Layout by Corri

Hi everyone!  Corri here today sharing a project with the new Petite Prints - Gingham - Linen.  This adorable photo of my oldest daughter has been sitting on my desk for months now.  I've been waiting for the perfect paper to coordinate with her cute dress.    The monochromatic colors in this collection allowed me to design a layout that matched perfectly.
I wanted to make the balloons a focal point on this because all she wanted for her third birthday was balloons...lots of balloons.  She carried that one around all day.   I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut these and added Doodle Twine to match each.
I matted the photo with white card stock and then used my flag punch to create three flags for the upper left corner.   I placed three small doilies behind the lower right corner.
Finally, to create my title, I used my Cameo again to cut letters from black cardstock.  I added clusters of Sprinkles  to accent the title.
Check out the complete Petite Prints Collection.  You can create a color combination to work with any photo!
