LOTS O' LUCK - Travelers Notebook Scrapbooking | with Kathy

My daughter is currently studying abroad in Scotland.  She's been travelling with friends, seeing so much!  She recently flew over to Ireland to visit friends who are studying there, which was very conveniently timed for me... since I had the brand new Lot's O' Luck Collection to scrap with!  Being a good daughter, of course she sent me pictures.  I decided to use them in my 52 Favorites Daily Doodles Scrapbook!
I used pictures of her on the coast of Howth, Ireland for my first layout.  I love the touches of gold in the Lot's O' Luck Collection!  They add the perfect bit of sparkle.   I added some Gold Abigail letters and gold striped paper from the Hello 6x6 Pad to complete the look.
My next layout features pictures that my daughter SnapChatted to me.  I love their playful feel!  I used some of the black elements from Lot's O'Luck including the Odds & Ends Arrow and the scalloped frills sticker from the This and That Stickers.  I also used some Beetle Black Skinny Type Alphas.  I love the Shaped Sprinkles too.. it's a fun way to add some dimension without being too thick for my book!  Have you played with Lot's O' Luck, or your Daily Doodles Travel Planner?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook (@doodlebug design) and Instagram (@doodlebugdesign).  We would love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

LOTS O' LUCK - Shaped Mini Album | with Traci

Shaped albums are always so much fun and I'm excited to share my latest Lots of Luck mini with all of you! (If you missed the first one, you can check it out here)!
For the cover and base of my album, I used the Pot O' Gold cutting file from the Doodlebug Happy Go Lucky cut file collection. There is one for this collection too, but it had not been released when I made this album.

To create the covers and album pages:
1. I separated the pieces and cut the grey (back cover) and black (front cover) pieces out of Silhouette chipboard 3 times.
2. I layered the pieces together to give the covers more strength.
3. I cut 4 more of the black pot design out of white card stock to use as base pages.
4. The white pots (shown above) are the internal offsets (front and back) of the base pages. I cut 4 of each out of pattern paper.

If you decide to make a project like this, be sure your pattern paper is in the right direction on your cutting mat. I learned this the hard way when I cut out the rainbow pattern upside down. :)
I love the little ladybug shaped sprinkles! They added such a cute touch to the cover and the page below.

The rainbow, clouds, and hearts on the pages above, and the cute little leprechaun below, are both adorable doodle-pops!

I hope my little project has "brightened your day"! :)
Come back tomorrow for another cute Lots O' Luck project idea!

LOTS O' LUCK - Daily Doodles Travel Panner Pages | with Nathalie

Today, I am sharing a layout in a Daily Doodle insert. They are perfect to create travel mini albums and even though the new collection Lots O' Luck is Saint-Patrick's Day oriented, I found just what I needed to document a visit to a lovely village in France:
For the base, I covered the pages with pink cardstock to enhance the reddish sandstone buildings and layered green paper from the 6x6 Lots O' Luck Paper pad.

I found a ready made title in the Odds & Ends pack as well as cute flower and leaf die-cuts:
Before adhering my typed journaling strips, I added a border sticker from the Lots O' Luck This & That sheet and machine stitching. I finished with tiny Shape Sprinkles (from the Shamrocks pack) for dimension and a word sticker (also from the This & That sheet) to add a pop of pink on the right page:
With all its green elements, I can totally see this range used to document the outdoors, your garden, a bouquet of flowers, Mother's Day and more... Don't feel limited by a collection's theme! And next time you want to record a trip, think about the many Daily Doodles options you have! Happy crafting!
