LOVE NOTES LAYOUT + NEW CUT FILE | with Erica

Hey friends! Erica here today to share a new layout using the beautiful Love Notes collection and a new cut file! The 'You Make My Heart Sing' cut file plus a few others are now available in the Lori Whitlock shop! I just love using big title cut files like this on my layouts. It is a great way to showcase the beautiful pattern papers. When using cut files I like to back them with the 6x6 paper pads. I like that the images are scaled down and you can see them nicely behind the cut file. This cut file has a nice sized heart that is perfect to add your photo behind!

I trimmed a piece of white textured cardstock to 11.5x11.5 and distressed the edges with my scissors. I matted the white cardstock on the pretty Lovers Lane 12x12 paper. I added foam squares to the back of my cut file and placed it around the center of the layout. Popping the cut file up like this makes it easy to tuck in embellishments around the file.

I used the mini icon stickers and the icon stickers to embellishment my layout. I also used one of the banners in the chit chat pack. For some finishing touches I like to add some enamel sprinkles! LOVE NOTES PORTFOLIO | with Nathalie

Now that it's February I'm celebrating the month of love with a new project I created using the Love Notes collection. Instead of sending a Valentine's Day card, I will be mailing this little portfolio to a lovely friend of mine:

The base of the portfolio was created with different but matching Doodlebug cardstock and was inspired by the step-by-step on Margys Paper Games blog. I made it my own with a few changes, including in the size of the final project which is 6.5 by 5 inches.

I absolutely love the colors and the patterned papers in this collection and used several inside and outside of the portfolio. I decorated with Love Notes die-cuts and stickers but also added several embellishments as little presents inside some of the pockets.

I had fun creating small packages of my "own" embellishments with mini envelopes, some of the Valentine's Paperclips I shared here a couple of weeks ago and even a shaker card.

LOVE NOTES CARDS | with Tya

There is no better time than Valentine's Day to create a bundle of handmade cards! The adorable Love Notes collection was sooo much fun to play with and I loved creating these 6 cards! The great thing about this collection is that it is not just for Valentine's Day! There are sentiments and icons that lend itself to everyday greetings for your special someone - it's a great everyday collection that can be used any time of year. Take a look!

These cards were really easy to put together.  I made all six cards in an afternoon and  I loved using all the different embellishments that are in this collection. I used lots of pattern papers from the full size 12x12 papers as well as the 6x6 paper pad. I also used the Odds and Ends,- there a 2 sets with this collection. the Chit Chat die cuts, and then oodles of Sprinkles and Shape Sprinkles. There are also some buttons and twine as well. With all of the cute icons and sentiments - you could make so many cards with this collection - I could have kept going on for hours!
