DOWN ON THE FARM PORTRAIT CUBE | with Miguel

Do you have unused or undecorated pieces of wood in your craft stash? Well, today I show you a fun and useful way to decorate them . A few days ago, I found this wooden cube among my things, and I decided to paint and decorate it with doodlebug Down on the Farm collection. Since it was a cube shape, I decided to make a photo "frame" on each side of this piece.

I first cut slightly smaller cardboard frames for each side of the cube. I decorated the open "window: of the frame with some papers from the collection and also added a piece of acetate to protect the photo that will be placed there.

I love the bandana designs.  They look great in the frame when it doesn't hold a photo.

I added a little farm animal from the mini icons for each side of the cube.  On the upper part I created a farm with my Doodle pop to be the center of my project.

I hope you are inspired to create a cube of your own!  Thank you for stopping by!

DOWN ON THE FARM ON THE FARM LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We all love farm adventures!  My kids (now adults) still love going for small trips to farms and orchards.  Throughout the years we have collected so many memories of those trips, and I am using the fun Down on the Farm collection to document one of them.

All the little icons in the Bits and Pieces pack were just perfect to create a scene-type layout for my memories.

I trimmed the Counting Sheep paper to create a curvature/hill for my background. I backed it with a Petite Print paper, then framed it with the Farmer Flannel paper.   Here is where I pulled pieces to create the small scene;  I had to add the tractor to match the one in the photo, and the small Doodle Pop just fit perfectly!

I placed my photos to the right of the scene. I used pieces of Chit Chat to add sentiments to the pictures.  Just love how it all lined up nicely!

To finish the page, I added a title using  a mix of embellishments at the bottom of the page.  Everything just fits perfectly in the scene.

I cannot wait to continue documenting more Farm adventures with the Down on the Farm collection.   Be sure to check the collection out!!

XOXO

DOWN ON THE FARM POP UP CARDS | with Kathy

Down on the Farm is one of my all-time favorite collections.  The little critters are absolutely adorable! The cows, pigs and sheep just make me smile!  I decided to make a few pop up cards using some of the stickers from the collection.  I love how there's always plenty of icons to make up little scenes!  Take a peek...

I love the punny sentiments in this collection.  They make it easy to create cards that are more "all purpose", springy cards.  The first card I created was with the little cow.  He is udder-ly adorable. And really... "Cow's it Going?"... just perfect.

My next card features those fluffy sheep and the little chicken.   They're having a great day hanging in the meadow.

My last card features the chubby little piggies, hanging out in some mud puddles... They really are "Sow Sweet!"  My favorite part is the little worm popping up on the front of the card!

As I said, I love how all Doodlebug collections contain a variety of icons that allow you to build some fun little scenes!  Have you created any projects using the Down on the Farm Collection?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram, we love to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
