PURRRFECT LITTLE MINI ALBUM! | with Traci

For today's project, I pulled out the adorable Kitten Smitten collection to make a little album for my son's girlfriend. She just adopted a 3-week old kitten and named him Eliot. I'm pretty sure she's going to be taking lots of adorable pictures of this little fluff ball.
I used an acrylic cover (from Clear Scraps) and white card stock pages for the base of the album.
I used the 4x4 and 4x6 cards on some fold-out pages, and scattered die-cuts throughout the album for some cute embellishment.

I love how Doodlebug always uses the "puuurrr-fect" color combinations. The black and grey is so cute with the other pastels.
Before I go, I thought you might like to see the little guy that inspired this album.
Thanks everyone!  Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

LAYOUTS - DOCUMENTING ALL THE IMPORTANT DETAILS | with Caroli

I love to travel, and getting to know new places, getting lost in a city I visit for the first time, most of the time you get to discover something nice :)

In this page I wanted to document the happiness of visiting a lovely museum called Casa Pueblo, in Uruguay last year. I got to visit this beautiful place by the sea along with my friends and it was certainly a happy memory, so I document it in a layout.

In this case I didn't want to get too crazy thinking about complicated ideas to work on my layout, so went for a really simple circle and layers design, you know how i love circles. Here is my layout:

I used foam dots and different embellishments in order to create layers and volume, machine stitching is also a good way to make a page more interesting and eye catching.

As you can se, it is such a simple layout, with lots of little details and happy memories. Sometimes, the simpler the better :) I hope you like this idea, thank you for stopping by here at Doodlebug Design's blog today.
Have a lovely day!

SUMMER PLANNER PAGES | with Anabelle

My summer Daily Doodle is now in full use. School is out and I am in my summer mode! Today I'm sharing two of the inserts that I am using and I'm continuing to use the Sweet Summer collection. I love it!
This collection really is perfect for the lazy days of June, July and August. I shared my insert covers in my last blog post. Here I'm showing what is inside these two inserts.

The first is my June calendar. I used a mix of the Mini Icons and regular Icons to decorate this monthly spread. I love the die cuts and wanted to include the boom box at the top. The Abigail letter stickers are my favorite for labeling the month.
To add some fun color and visual interest, I cut a piece of paper to fit on the blank space on the right side of the insert. I love how the flowers balance all of the fun, summery elements.
Next up is a spread that I created to use as my Summer Bucket List. I chose to record books I want to read, health goals and recipes I want to try. I try not to make my Bucket List very long, so that I'm not disappointed come the end of summer. These are the areas I chose to focus on.

I used Teensy Type alpha sitckers and some die cuts from the Odds and Ends pack. I love that floral washi and added it to the center of the spread.
As you can see, the Sweet Summer collection is perfect for decorating your Daily Doodles. Hope you can find a creative way to use it in your planner!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
