GREAT OUTDOORS 3D PICTURE | with Miguel

Altering pieces of wood is something that I love to do as it allows you to create and bring a simple piece to life. The beautiful "Great Outdoors" collection inspired me to make this decorative painting that I am sure would look great in a child's bedroom.

In particular I loved the range of colors used for this collection, in addition to all of the great designs! I  painted the frame with acrylic paint in a brown color, I then placed square cuts of all the paper designs around the frame.  I love all the designs!

In the central part of the frame , I made a scene with the odds & ends starting with the cabin and surrounding it everything that alludes to a camp. Brilliant!

Doodle Pops and shape sprinkles are great allies when it comes to giving details to projects. I love how this beautiful Bear and the picnic items look like they go together perfectly!

Thank you once again for stopping by, I invite you to continue creating with the beautiful collections of Doodlebug. Bye Bye!

GREAT OUTDOORS HAPPY LITTLE CAMPER LAYOUT | with Erica

Camping is one of our favorite things to do as a family and I was so excited when the Great Outdoors collection was released! I have a ton of photos from our camping trip this summer and this collection is the perfect match!

This year little Liam was at a really fun age to take camping and he enjoyed running around barefoot and getting dirty! I snapped a photo of him sitting at our picnic table alone eating his lunch! He little feet can not touch the ground and you can see his bare feet! It was the sweetest little moment that I want him to be able to look back on.

I found this adorable cut file called Happy Little Camper.  Liam was a happy little camper for us on this trip and he is excited to go back next year! I cut the file out on some textured white cardstock and used the Great Outdoors 6x6 paper to back the file. For my base I used the 12x12 Camping Spots paper and sprinkled some white acrylic paint to add some interest to the background.

I trimmed down the Camping Spots paper and distressed the edges before adhering it to a piece of white cardstock. To help frame the Camping Spots paper I used a black pen to add lines around the page.

To add some dimension to the layout I popped up the cut file using foam adhesive. I used some of the 6x6 Great Outdoors papers to mat my photo and then used the super cute Nutty Buddy Doodle-pop to the left of the cut file!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying all the projects using the new Great Outdoors collection!

GREAT OUTDOORS EMBELLISHMENT BOX | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing a project using the new fall collection, Great Outdoors. I decided to make a little box full of embellishments!

For the box, I used the 6 x 6 paper pad. I used a full sheet scored on all four sides at 1.5" for the base. And a 4 x 4 square scored at 0.5" on all four sides for the lid. I added some ephemera pieces to embellish and added a twine closure.

This box perfectly fits the circle embellishments I made using my circle punches. Each circle is punched out twice, popped up with foam tape, and stitched.

I love all the little animals in this collection and wanted to feature several of them layered on these embellishments. The embellishments have sprinkles from the collection and a sentiment from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet.

I hope you liked seeing details of this project! Happy Crafting!
