MY HAPPY PLACE CARDS | with Wanda

Hi Doodle-Friends! Wanda here today to share some cards with you! I am loving the new My Happy Place Collection and the infinite combinations of colors and themes!! I especially love that everything is grounded with graphic black and white... This collection really has something for everyone! I made two cards using lots of elements from My Happy Place....

Here are my fun cards! Both cards are sized A2 and have the same design layout. I like this layout because I can feature three papers on each card. I like to mix and match patterned papers!

I used elements and pieces from all the collection packs: Chit Chat, Odds and Ends... And I also used some black Mini Doilies and lots of Heart Sprinkles!

I love coffee and loved making this coffee-themed card! Black and pink accents of Sprinkles and Hearts make it perfect. I splattered on some black paint to make it look a little more artsy.

I gently crinkled the flowers and the word banner with my fingers before attaching them to the card. A little shabby chic never hurts! I added some hearts as the centers of the bike tires.

The sentiment on this card is one of the Stickers from the 12x12 My Happy Place This and That Sticker sheet. LOVE!

I added a big pink heart to the front of the coffee pot....

MY HAPPY PLACE I LOVE BEING HOME LAYOUT | with Lisa

I had so much fun creating my first layout with the new My Happy Place collection! The colors are so cute and I love the added interest with the mini polka dots. I decided to scrap a photo of my cat.

For my background, I used three different patterned papers. The one with the scalloped border is called Garden party. I cut out the middle part of the paper and a 3mm border around it. Then I backed it with a red and a yellow patterned paper, which are called Hello Sunshine and The Neighborhood.

The cat is a Doodlebug cutfile called Happy Cats and is from the Happy Haunting collection.  I cut it out from Doodlebug cardstock, put a bit of color around the edges with my Distress Oxides and put the pieces together. Then I added some details with my white acrylic pen.

I backed my photo with some papers from the 6x6 paper pad. To back my photos, I always use 4 or 5 random rectangles of patterned paper that I rip off using a ruler. Then I put them behind the photo in a way that you can see each color peaking out around the photo.

I placed my cut file cat and my photo on the background and then started embellishing. I used a lot of flowers from the Bits & Pieces pack on the cat and put enamel dots in the centers of the flowers. I used a die cut piece from the Chit Chat pack for my title and backed it with a rainbow striped patterned paper.

I also used a little Doodle Pop house next to my cat and finished the title with alpha stickers.

To finish the layout, I added some white paint around the cat.  I really love this collection. The colors are totally my thing!  Hope you like the process and see you back soon! :)

MY HAPPY PLACE HOME ALBUM | with Miguel

My Happy Place is a beautiful collection!  Its designs, colors and the meaning that it transmits to me... home and family. I decided to use it in a beautiful wooden house with a mini album inside to document all those beautiful family moments. Wonderful don't you think?

For those who know me and follow my work know I like to alter wood pieces and give them my personal touch.  Today I'm playing with this cute little house... to give it a lot of color with the beautiful Doodlebug papers.

I painted the house black as a base,  and then I used papers from the 6x6 pad to cover the sides. I then created my mini album in which I incorporated pages, flaps and pockets to give it interest. Once the photos are added, they will look incredible!  I added of Odds & Ends to decorate further.

On the cover of my album, I made a shaker as the focus of the project using cardboard, acetate and eco-leather giving a lot of color to my project.

I also added lots of washi to the pages... I love how wonderful they look!

I say goodbye, as always hoping that my work fills you with a lot of inspiration. Thanks for reading see you soon!
