SWEET & SPOOKY MEMORYDEX CARDS | with Conny

Hi crafting friends! It's always great to be with you crafters who share a passion for creativity, DIY projects, and spooky season! Today I’m back with the Sweet and Spooky collection! Whether you're into scrapbooking, happy mail, card making, or any other craft, it's wonderful to have a community of like-minded individuals to share ideas and inspiration with. So, what are you currently working on? I'd love to hear about your latest crafting endeavors! Today I am sharing some memorydex cards and some embellishments I created using the Treat Yourself Doodle Cuts.

Let's start with the memorydex Cards!  You can create memorydex cards with a metal die, cut file or if you don't have these,  simply cut card-stock or patterned paper into 4 x 3-inch rectangles and round the corners. You will need two per card.  To turn the cards into pockets, you want to also cut a 3" X 1" piece of paper and score it at 1/2", then attach it to both sides of the card with adhesive and use a memory desk punch.

If you don't have a memorydex punch, you can  use a hole punch and punch two holes at the bottom center of the card leaving a 1 3/4" gap, and with scissors cut a little slim tunnel in the middle of the hole you made.

Now the fun part!  To decorate you can add embellishments from the chit chat, cardstock stickers, sprinkles to the front of the card, and punch a hole in the top center. Slide the card into the memorydex holder for safekeeping. Memorydex cards can be used for various purposes such as recipe cards, journaling prompts, or even as a fun way to organize your to-do list. For the cards I made I already had metal die!

For my fun candy jar embellishments, I used the Treat Yourself Doodle Cuts to create two little shaker jars. I used the 6x6 paper pad and added some icon cardstock stickers. To give them a little extra sparkle, I included a sequin mix and tulle. They turned out really cute and I'm excited to use them in my next project!
Thank you so much for stopping by! We can’t wait to see your Memorydex cards and Jars!

SWEET & SPOOKY SHADOWBOX FRAME | with Jen

How do you use the Sweet and Spooky collection to make fun Halloween decor ? Make a photo shadowbox of course!

I used a 6" x 14" shadowbox and elements from the Sweet and Spooky line to create a fun decor piece. Even better, the colors worked perfectly with a photo from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party last year!

I used lots of foam tape to add dimension. I layered a strip of clear acetate between the foam behind the houses to give easy dimension to the mini icon trick or treaters. Around the outside I added some Chit Chat and the fun spider Doodle-Pop.

And to finish it off I added fairy lights!

So Spooky!

Have a great day!

SWEET & SPOOKY DOUBLE PAGE LAYOUT | with Traci

Hello friends! Today I have two 12x12 scrapbook page layouts that use the adorable Sweet and Spooky Collection. They're filled with pretty pastel colors and cute Halloween characters ... perfect for highlighting your October photos and a night of trick-or-treating!

For both pages, I started with beetle black card stock as the base and layered lots of 6x6 and 12x12 pattern papers on top. I love mixing them.

I added die cuts from the Odds & Ends and the Chit Chat. I love the ones made of acetate like this pink spider web. Their transparency is so fun! The little purple squares in each corner are the quotation marks from the This & That stickers.

The Halloween Night die cuts are from the Chit Chat and those cute little stars are puffy stickers. I love the bit of shine they add to the layout.

Check out the colorful border stickers I used from the This and That sheet. I layered the scalloped and wavy shapes to make a great landing spot for the cute pistachio colored haunted house. A few more puffy stars and moon, and ... my first page was done!

For the second layout, I wanted a geometric background design so I created triangles from 5.75" x 5.75" squares of pattern paper. Then, I added 4 photo mats and lots of cute embellies!

I cut an acetate spider web in half and used it in the corner of one of the mats. My picture can tuck right in underneath it. And isn't that teeny tiny puffy ghost sticker adorable?!

I turned another one of my photo mats into a pocket. Inside, I added a cute journaling card (12x12 Candy Sticks paper) with a purple October tab sticker (This & That). How cute is that Sweet & Spooky print behind it with all the colorful Halloween characters?! It's my favorite print in this collection.

I hope these pages give you some fun ideas for your next project. The Sweet and Spooky Collection is perfect for October and all your Halloween memories!
